  Soft panniers/Kriega or Mosko Moto
Posted by: jamorro - 08-09-17, 12:03 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (4)

Has anyone tried either of these two set-ups. Mosko Moto panniers or the Kriega OS system. I'm trying to work out where I can get racks for these and fit them without touching indicators. I had Hepco & Becker hard luggage previously with was fab, but possibly going long distance where soft panniers might be better/lighter.

  who's responsible?
Posted by: maddog04 - 07-09-17, 03:29 PM - Forum: General - Replies (8)

car gets picked up earlier for its last service as part of the service deal. They ring and say 2 tyres are .9mm from the legal limit, shall we replace......I said no as that's almost 1 mm
2.6 being legal limit

then he says there's a nail in the side wall and the tyre is punctured but I wouldn't have seen it.....now we get going.....I say you've done it driving the car in as my tyres were ok, his reply was prove it. I argue that the ECU would've picked up the puncture and he says the nail's still in so not leaking!
he speaks to Manager who offers discount but no replacement tyre, so after 20 mins I ring back and explain to manager I complete POWDDERS checks before every ride/drive and also works vehicles so how come I don't see it but the mechanic does......he argues he cannot afford to replace tyres and they have collected free of charge, my counter is that its in your custody so you're responsible. He's gone to look at it and speak to his manager. I'm getting the feeling the trying to have me off over two tyres as its the last time they'll have the car under warranty.

your thoughts please?

  Push cable...
Posted by: anutz - 07-09-17, 01:11 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (6)

Might just be me, i cannot figure out how the decellarator cable takes up slack.

Accelerator one is obvious, 2 nuts, one to adjust, one to lock and hold the shaft of the cable into the carb bracket, but the accelrrator one does not seem to do the same...

lost...any pointers...

  Fork oils seals
Posted by: celticdog - 07-09-17, 11:23 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (1)

Does anyone have any experience good or bad with vesrah products? I've fitted these oil seals as I didn't want to pay yamaha OE prices or get fleabay budget seals.
They don't actually sell seals for the FZS 600 but as the forks are a fairly standard size the AR-4101 are a match. So far so good.

Muffler modification caused sudden consumption issue
Posted by: Dartagnan66 - 07-09-17, 12:03 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (2)

Hello guys, sorry for disturbing you whit some silly question, but I have got here some consumption issue.
Last week I've decided to little modify my original Scorpion muffler.
Nearly I cut it in half, the original 24" is 13" right now.
It's looks pretty cool, it's sounds pretty exciting... But... And there's a big BUT...
Since that cutting the consumption suddenly raised... And not just a little...
I am using the bike basically for commuting, a little in city, then few miles on motorway, then few miles in industrial area, in free time some fun riding. The speed on motorways 70-90 mph depends on traffic. The consumption was before the modification like 42-43 mpg (UK mpg) and after the cutting is 35-36 mpg.
Any ideas what's happened and how could I solve this?
Thank you for your help in advance!

Hi,

pleasure to introduce myself! Yamaha FZS600 Fazer owner from Riga, Latvia.
Got this great motorcycle in the beginning of summer. As almost every ride makes new questions about the bike, I hope I won't become too annoying!  Smile
