So I own a 2000 model fzs600 originally fitted with the wide grab rail. When my chain snapped it kicked up and smashed the left side and I replaced it with the tail plastics of an earlier gen 1 with the bar grab rail as the holes are a different size from early to late gen 1.


Now I want to fit a seat cowl and found a bargain one and snapped it up.
But now that it arrived it doesn't look like it fits. Having a quick look seems to be the right shape and light it lines up but the mounting point holes do not. They look further apart than the holes on the bike.
Could this be a cowl for a 1000?
Are the tails mounting holes different on the 1000?

So I figured since there is a lofo for London foccers.
I figured we should have either a yorkshire or northern foccors group to organise ride outs and meets.
Looking on the members map there's plenty of us around yorkshire and the north in general.

Just sold my Fazer 1000 and already miss not having a bike. Took an hour..
Found a 2008 ABS FZ6 and went for a look. All okay I thought apart from the header clamps and nuts were falling apart! I know that part of the engine gets all the road crap, but this was well on the way to falling apart. Any attempt to undue any of the nuts would have resulted in a snapped stud. Poor bloke was not aware of how bad they were. Traveled 80 miles to see it so thought I would have a ride on it since the owner offered. Gutless! I was expecting a nice crisp acceleration but it was slower than my old KLE500. Now when I did a check on the bike it came back as having 79bhp. I thought these were 98?? Was a little puzzled.

This time it looks to have been enthusiast owned and already had the suspension and other nice mods done.  Bought from ebay, but suspecting the previous owner is on here.

Anyone got an engine going? Just blown a cylinder. Closer to Oxford the better

My speedo was broken, so I managed to fix that, but now my tachometer goes up, then down, then the correct reading. I understand this is tell me there's a fault, and I guess it's a fault with the sensor as I've replaced the speed sensor and that's now working fine.


I've got a multimeter. What should I be testing and looking out for on the rev counter sensor?


Any help or link to info would be appreciated.

I have an Ivan's slip on kit which Mike removed when upgrading mine to a full monty.
£30 if anyone interested, its all there and boxed but missing the instruction leaflet as Mike put them in the box the MB kit came with but Pats site comprehensively covers the install

I've just had the missus moaning at me for a McDonald's so i jumped in the car to pick one up and on my travels I come to a T junction. Turning right out of the junction comes a beautiful custom Honda Fireblade, i thought to myself how nice it looked then went about my business. Anyway the trip was only a mile or so each way so within 10 mins I was back at the T-junction turning the same way the bike went previously. In the distance I see flashing blue lights. As I approach a police officer ushers me onto the wrong side of the road. I look towards the path to the left and to my dismay see the Honda in pieces followed by a BMW with a big dent and the rider laying in the road   The ambulance was coming down the road just as I got past.
Has given me a very unsettled feeling seeing it go from all good to all bad so quickly. I know we all understand the risks of riding but just strange when it comes into reality.  I really hope the riders ok and will certainly be on my mind the next time I'm out riding

I wonder if anyone can confirm the thread size of the blanked off mirror mount next to the brake resevoir.  I reckon it's M10 x1.25 pitch. Thinking of relocating my gps.
