Hi all not an actual Fazer owner, just work on mates one a lot. Keeps me busy. Looking for advice. Carb model. Leaks fuel from the carb mouths when throttle opened, tends to flood then bog down. Float level is about 14mm. I'm leaning towards replacing o rings around the main jet. Any help be appreciated.
Many thanks.
Ps
I have a blackbird.

3 previous owners (I know 2 of them, lads from work). 20k miles, Mot until September, sailed through the last one, refurbished wheels. 2k miles ago it had new tyres, oil, filter, air filter, plugs, battery. Extras are fenda extenda, double bubble screen, tank protector, Givi rack, tribo seat cover, scottoiler , hugger, radiator guard, disc lock, smoked indicator lenses (originals supplied), newish Oxford Oximiser. The TPS works fine, the gearbox sprocket has not been welded on (horror stories about this kicking about). Bike is in 8/10 condition for its age (spent 10 years off road), all paperwork , both keys, bike in my name at my address. Haynes manual. Always garaged.
Bad points
Limited service history, paint coming off the down pipes, the frame on the front engine mount and a bit off the front of the engine, bit of a scratch on the tank near where your knee touches, odd plastic scratch here and there. Bit of clutch rattle but they all seem to have this.
£1300 fixed price, no offers please as it's not overpriced. Bike needs absolutely nothing doing to it. Easiest bike to ride I've owned and they are brilliant. If you like more info drop me a line and I'll answer any questions

Hi, I have a Yamaha fz1n, 30k miles. Very good condition. Only dry miles. I have a awkward clutch. Takes 10 seconds of clutch disengagement to go into 1st without banging badly. I have read about blanking plugs in oil galleries coming out and the rear of the clutch basket not getting sufficient lubrication. Has any body experienced the same, and resolved the problem. The casing is coming off this winter, (during its service) and I was hoping some body may have info and /or photos. Any help would be appreciated.
mine is running very rough and hesitant at low revs, up to around 4k. I have pulled the (New) plugs and they are all very white indicating lean running (I have trimmed the leads as recommended). I suspected a primary jet, but the plugs indicate all 4 cylinders, so I am doubting this.
The bike has a Remus Titanium can on it but I can't find any reference, so don't know whether it is suitable for standard jetting. Would this cause this much of a problem.
I have thought about fitting an Ivan kit, but feel I should sort the problem first, unless the exhaust can is the problem. If I were to do the Ivan kit, I was thinking of the slip on as I don't need any out and out performance but improving low rev performance would be good and I have only seen this kit available in the UK (at a reasonable price!!). But I'm happy to hear any arguments either way.
As title suggests having only had the bike since Feb of this year and put just short 3k miles on I am thinking of selling. Nothing at all to do with the bike its a cracker and since I have had the bike its been well looked after. Covered in FS365 for every ride chain cleaned and lubed after every ride. Only got wet a couple of times at the beginning of ownership but cleaned to a very high standard on returning home. Total mileage to date 3974 it is mint, in silver must have been one of the last registered at 2015.
I had heated grips and fender extender put on the only owner before me had the official yam fazer taller screen put on and tank protector apart from that it is standard. I put Michelin p3 on the bike as I didn't like the standard dunlops it came with. If I sell I am wanting 4k for the bike and wont take any less for what is basically a new bike just run in. Reason for sale to many toys and hobbies although I have my eye on a 250. Thought I would knock it about on this site first just in case someone may be looking for a cracking first rate Fazer.
