Thanks for the acceptance. New kid on the block here. Well maybe not so new.
Back in 2008, I had a Fazer 1000 and the Mrs had the Fazer 600 foxeye. We both chopped and changed over the years but since emigrating from the U.K., in 2014, I've been on a 2009 Tenere but she hasn't ridden since moving which was down to money and the other usuals. It's her 40th soon so I've bought an 03 foxeye 600 for her, so thought I'd sign up here for some hints and tips and many thanks in advance.
All the very best guys and girls.

FZS 1000 07 reg but 2005 model lava red, one of the last registered if not the last FZS1000, 23660 miles.
I bought the bike on 7/1/13 as a completely mint stock bike.
I then decided to have her professionally built with a list of improvements and top quality parts and create my dream Fazer...
Carbon
Front mudguard, Front fairing, Fairing in-fills, Belly Pan, Hugger, Tail unit, Side covers.
Powder coated parts by TripleS in Bingley
Wheels, Fork legs, rear foot-peg hangers and stands.
Matt Black Dipped
Engine windowed cases, swing arm by Prestige Coatings
Ohlins fully adjustable rear shock
Diamond like carbon DLC fork stanchion coating & rebuilt with new springs seals & oil
Staintune stainless exhaust (amazing quality & sound)
Oberon bar end mirrors
ASV stubby clutch and brake lever
Ivans jet kit
Gillies rearsets
Hel braided brake lines
4 degree ignition advancer
K&N air filter
ASI removed
Multi gauge
Rizoma Graffio indicators
White dials
Running lights
Givi monokey rack
Digger seat.
Renthal bars 755
Oxford Hot grips
Samco hose set
Blue Spots removed & anodised Red with new caliper seals & SBS sintered brake pads
Crash bungs
M R A vario screen ......That's around £4000 worth of extras not including the labour cost of the build...
It has a fully stamped up service history also it has new Dunlop RoadSmarts 3's BrandNew Yuasa Battery put on this week, new heated grips ready to be fitted.
At 23.000miles during this Winter she had new coolant, NGK spark plugs, new oil & filter, brake fluid flush front & rear brakes, Carbs balanced, valve clearances checked (all ok) new K&N air filter and the EXUP valve stripped greased & set up - this and all the above work was carried out by Russ @Bolton Motorcycle Workshop - I wheeled in a completely stock 2005 Fazer and during every winter I had more work carried out until we decided that there wasn't much more we could do to my bike that wasn't either distasteful or that would spoil the bikes amazing performance...
Russ is more than happy to verify the bike to any perspective owners as he built it from the ground up & he knows it inside and out.
Also the bike can be viewed at his workshop during working hours;

The bike is as close to mint as I can get it, viewing essential to truly appreciate it, the top box does not come with the bike.

It is with deep regret that I having to part with my FZS1.
Unfortunately health issues are forcing me to stop riding, so I am selling my 04 FZS1 Silver with Black engine, It has only 24.700 on the clock. I have owned it for 9 years, I have all its MOT's, it is currently MOT'd until 23.6.2019.
As you can see by the list it has had a lot spent on it and If I get the asking price I will leave all the extras on.
There is a small mark on the R/H Fairing, but all in all it is very good condition, I have always had it garaged.

Martin here
I bought my lovely FZS 600 Fazer in February this year after finding myself looking for a new (older) bike. I've loved the look of the original Fazer ever since it first came out and when I saw this one for sale in Kent I'm glad to say that I decided that now was my time to own one.
A few 'tasteful' extra's later and In have my perfect do it all bike! This one is definitely a keeper and am looking forward to many years of ownership with the help and advice available on this site to make it all the more enjoyable. I used the info provided by one of the members a while back to re-wire the front lights on dipped to improve what is one of the few flaws that this bike has. For a 20 year old bike it goes and handles superbly and I'm plenty happy with my choice.

Brake Calipers |

I know that this has been a topic that has been discussed multiple times on this forum but......
last night I managed to snap off one of the bleed nipples on the rear caliper :'(. I'm hoping that I should able to remove the portion of the nipple left in the caliper. It snapped off level with the body of the caliper.
I also know that getting hold of a second hand caliper is next to impossible as is getting one for an early fzs1000 it seems.....and I don't really want to pay £400 for a new one.
SO my question in 2 parts is :
Are there any other options when it comes to calipers that will fit? (from other bikes/years)
Any tips for getting this broken one out. I'm hoping that an extractor in the hollow bolt and maybe a bit of heat will work, I have been applying oil to the tread hoping to break the tension. I don't really want to have to re-thread the hole as I'm not very good at it.
