Whos up for a ride out to see the david silver honda collection , leiston , suffolk , i went this time last year and its well worth visiting , search "david silver" on this forum and you'll find my post and a few piccies .
to make it a bit more interesting he's holding a "honda cb 750 four - 50th anniiversary open day " next saturday 29th and entrance to the museum will be free , normally £10 ....under 16 are free anyway and over 65's are half price so that covers most of us on here anyway :lol
not choosen a route yet , thought i would post on here to see whos interested and then sort out a meeting place and route...
One, is never going to be enough.....
Hi Red,
Flooky, me and a non LOFO pal will be going, weather permitting. I've been recommended a good caff at Hatfield Peverel on A12 called D's Cafe Diner, if that's any help. Hopefully we can meet up near M25 on the Essex side.

Been a wet weekend here in south bucks and ive just had to scrape the ice off the car for the second time this week , looks like its warming up a tad towards the end of the week and no rain forcast...
looking forward to this one , had my wings clipped a bit this year with family commitments and only done a fraction of the mileage I usually do on my bikes.........
anyone else up for a day out with excellent company and of course excellent bikes
One, is never going to be enough.....
Here in the east we don't get ice. Well not until December. Or could be because we don't get up until 9 ?
I'm up for this one, Paul what way are you planning to circumnavigate the metropolis?

Just a bit of advice about D's Diner. It not actually on the A12, but on the slip road heading west. So you might have to come off the A12 just before, and go through Hatfield Peverel, or go past and double back via the next slip road /roundabout.
What sort of timings are we thinking of?
Just waiting for Mr.Red to give us a ballpark rendezvous time/place. Flooky has to come from Sussex coast, so my pal and I will probably meet him at Rykas, and then A25/M25 to Essex. I've got D's postcode, so satnav can sort that out.....hopefully :lol .

One, is never going to be enough.....
Hi Red,
So we'll all make our own way to D's for 09:30, is that what you had in mind.

Yes , if thats OK with everyone , FLOOKY has the furthest to come so lets see what he thinks , if we get there for mid day that gives us plenty of time for a nose round silvers , and a choice of 9.30 10.00 starts saves anyone not eating waiting for those who are.....as always not set in stone , make it up as we go .....I'll bring my sat nav so no chance of getting lost :rolleyes :lol
One, is never going to be enough.....
I've been in touch with Flooky. He can make Rykas for 8am, which is when it opens. We won't get a chance of a drink there though as it's about 1hr 20 odd mins to D's according to rac route planner, so 9:30 ish at D's will be fine.

OK 9.30 suits me, if you want I'll sort a route up through Essex and Suffolk to miss most the boring A12/A14 as this is my manor.
