How to post a FS ad? |

Hi all,
With regret im looking to sell my Fazer 1000.
I've not been a prolific poster on here, though have been lurking, and used some of the knowledge / resources in deciding what to do with the bike (wired in heated grips via a 12v relay, 758's, gytr risers...)
As such is like to offer the bike here before elsewhere.... Though cant seem to start a new thread in the FS section; is there a minimum post count required?
Cheers

FZ1S Fairings (2006->) in good used condition. With all fittings, and basic picture guide for installation. Some small scratches, peels, dimples etc but no cracks.
£90 collect from TW2 Twickenham or I can package and you arrange your own courier - at your risk

Exup again ? |

Hi guys, long time since I’ve been in here.. not had the bike on the road in just under 2 years! ?. Done all the usual returning to road maintenance, all mot’d etc then remembered the exup! No bother I thought as it was greased not long before I parked it up. I’ve got 1 sheared bolt to
Drill/tap and also noticed one of the exup cables was frayed quite badly, so gunna replace both so the bikes 100%.
So, after that long uninteresting speech, any recommendations for exup cables? There’s some on wemoto for reasonable money, are there any other options out there? Cheers!☺️

Add on lights/ spot lights/ running lights |

Looking into getting some extra lighting and wondering if anyone has any recommendations?
Ebay, my go to site seems to mostly be selling the same very cheap looking lights which look as though they're more suited to a BMW gs1200 with bulky metal surrounds than a fazer. Also the picture of some of the beams look like a narrow focus hunting torch which could be a bit limiting.

Muc Off etc |

Does anyone use these types of products?
I have been using it for a bit (got 2 bottles at a closing down sale) but have noticed that whenever I need to do anything on the bike everything is bone dry rather than retaining any lubricant/grease! Changed the tires, the front pinch bolt on the forks was proper dry and took a fair amount of force. Likewise the spindle at the clamp end was bone dry and needed a lot of persuasion. Rear spindle was the same. My front brake lever was feeling a bit notchy so I took it off and cleaned/lubed the pivot points etc but again, the bolts, bushing etc were bone dry.
You could say that maybe it was the bike but I have serviced these things since owning and always greased them up etc, never had a problem before using this muc off. Think I will give it a miss...

ULEZ alternative bike |

Hey ho...
Seeing as the ULEZ is now definitely moving out to the North and South circular in Oct 2021 I'll have to get a new bike, I live in Camden so it'll cost me £12.50 just to ride round the block. The FZS600 is the only bike I've had so has anyone got any suitable suggestions for a new one? Weekend rider, usually 2 up, occasional European tour, top-box is essential but not wing rack as I've got soft panniers.
The old girl only cost me £1,200 6 years ago, costs peanuts to run and insure plus no one has ever tried to pinch her even though she lives on the street.
i know it's still 3 years away but what would you get?
Cheers...Buzz

Battery or Something else????? |

Hi, Bike would not start for my commute home last night so had to get a jump done.
Charged the battery (yusa) overnight 12hr, put it back on and she fired no problem this morning.
Now.....when I got on the bike to get the centre stand down and drive off the bike completely died????
Turned key on off (few times) and nothing, so had another look and did the mandatory little movement of the battery leads turned key and she fired no problem.
Got in to work and gave it two stop start tests and on the 2nd start it coughed a bit, so looks like I will be jumping for the home commute.
12v socket, heated grips (both being disconnected when I find out which wire is which) and a Flash tune kit also connected.
Im sure the battery is dying/dead (don't know how long its there) but it was the shut down that stumped me?
