| Pannier & Top Box Frames Gen1 FZS1000 2002 - 2003 |

Hi All, I contacted a company regarding Kappa/Givi pannier & top box frames/racking for my Gen1 Fazer 2002.
The company emailed back saying they no longer make/sell frames for a 2002 model only 2003 onwards.
I had thought all Gen1 chassis were the same? Or am i missing something?
Cheers Ade

Hi
Since getting the Fazer I've now got two bikes to think about with regard to recovery should an accident or breakdown occur. I can fix most things but for maybe £8 a month it's maybe worth the cost. When I've been looking they websites always revert to car quotes which I obviously don't need.
Who do you use?
Who gives value for money?
Who to avoid?
Prices paid?
cheers

Before I go looking online I thought I would ask here first - - Adjustable brake and clutch lever set - pickup a set of ebay.
- left hand rear grab rail or pair in 2005 blue, the actual colour is called 'Deep Blue purplish metallic cocktail', but R1 blue or the 2001 FZS1000 blue are close enough.
- Gear lever, the one I got off a breakers while functional isnt upto snuff
- pillion footpeg brackets - both of mine are starting to showing significant salt corrosion.
- font fairing loom, my bike was originally a US import and the very last conversion task is for the side lights.
- r/h mirror - found 2x r/h mirrors in the spare room :rolleyes

Has anyone on here, got a motorbike dolly?
Platform with 4 castor's on it. So you can put bike on it's centre stand, and move your bike into tight spots in garage, or just spin it around. I'm thinking of getting one that's all. And would like a recommendation on one, if possible?
Cheers for any comments

Looking to purchase a tail pack for long days in the saddle , big enough to carry puncture repair kit , small compressor and visor wipe , dont want nothing too bulky and one that easily straps to the saddle and simple to remove when parked up ...
been looking at the AUTOKICKER midi pack , quality and price look good , anyone got one or similar ?

Are they worth it?
Do they make a difference?
I'm thinking they possibly do but am worried it'll spoil the look of the bike. They only seem to come in black, not sure it'll go with my silver steed.
If they are worth it any recommendations?
Do the adhesive ones stay stuck or is drilling the best way?
Whilst I'm here what about belly pans? Loads more expensive so an expensive addition if they're of little use.

so bought a 2009 plate fz6, great bike , very impressed by it, but in my ignorance was handed one key, black ! i had read somewhere about this red key but the seller said he wasnt given anything other than this key when he bought it , seemed non plussed about it ([private sale), after buying it i now am sweating as i now understand the full significance of it!!
im hoping someone can offer some ray of hope of any way to get a spare key or 3 cut ( that works :b ) without this red key ?
anybody ..... :'(

Help Guys!
Bike's just had new plugs and coils fitted today - was running so well (had been miss firing etc).
Then 12 miles on engine cuts out and engine warning light comes on. Does run but on 1/2 a cylinder not like 3 cylinders. :eek
Error code 34 shown on screen - coil nr2 (was one of the ones replaced).
Is this correct? If so I'll drop the rad off and change the coil for one of the old ones.
Thank you for your help.
cheers

| Engine a bit clunky |

Hi I have a fzs600 , 2003 foxeye model. Just seem to have noticed even idling, the revs, fluctuate. And the engine seens a little clunky every now and then, and seems like it wants to stays sometimes, when moving off, and it has a couple of times. It's only done 8,000 miles from new, so a mint bike really. Just about to do a oil & filter change today on it, see if that sorts it out. As shamefully haven't done one in about 4 or 5 yrs. Anyone near me, in ALTRINCHAM ,Manchester. Who could give it a good once over? Cheers if anyone could , or even reply.
