Noticed some bikes have a Yamaha sticker on the lower of what looks like the original Yamaha screen, is this simply a common personal addition or is it year specific?  Cannot see one shown on any parts list for any year of FZS 01-05.

Hi there


Looking for a salutation to turning my gear linkage by 180 degrees. Also known as race gearing or GP. The issue being the arm goes through the frame. Is the a adapter you can buy?
Reason for wanting to change is I race another bike that has race gearing. Once I get on the fazer I always put it in 2nd first time after a race and I like the race gearing.
Any help or links would be much appreciated

I know that the pilot jets let a small amount of air into the engine side of the intake...but why...?
and when the manual says the pilot screws should be two turns out , is that two full (360º) 0R two half (180º) turns...? :book

decided I want to keep the bike standard, I have a set of barely used -1/+2 sprockets, front is rubber damped and rear is a steel JT. Speedohealer is compatible with a lot of yamahas. I’ll do the lot together for £60 plus postage costs.

hi folks, i have a 2001 sp model by the looks of it ,5DMA 080, looking on the parts list i cant find a bolt that has snapped that holds the radiator in at the top in the middle onto the frame anyone any idea of the part number etc please.
gonna get the rad re-cored locally.

Hi all, been a while since I was last on, just finished rebuilding my 2002 Fazer, I did a full on strip down, engine out of the frame, everything stripped and cleaned, painted or replaced as required. Spent many an evening cleaning every last damn nut and bolt. Bike went back together ok, the problem I have is the engine cuts out when I select 1st gear. Before I get the obvious one, the side stand switch was stripped, cleaned, casing painted, reassembled and tested and was also tested once installed and tested again tonight, just in case, all ok there.
Is there anything else that would stop the engine when 1st is selected?
