Advertising on behalf of a friend ....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270807986929?s...1555.l2649

Mot 13/7/12, Tax 30/6/13.[/font]

It was last serviced at 10,481 miles and only reads 10,717 miles
now

She had
been pondering doing some touring in the future so part ex’d her SP1 for this
immaculate bike after test riding it

The
bike has been fettled a little to get the most out of the engine and
comfort.

It
has a full Akropovic race system with carbon end can and has a power commander
fitted to keep it right.

Other extras include:

Givi
Monokey luggage rack and side panniers

Rear Hugger

Radiator guard

Fenda extenda

R&G Crash bungs

Touring
screen (plus original)

The bike is protected by an Acumen Cat1alarm/immobiliser.
It comes with all keys and service history.

The reason for sale is that we also do a lot of track days and she has now decided
that she doesn’t want to ride on the road but save it for the track (she has an
old R6 for this) and any touring she does will be from the pillion seat of my
bike.

So there is a low mileage Fazer1000 up for grabs with the right extras for a very
good price (Honda Blackpool wanted £5899 for a similar one with more mileage and
no extras)

Test ride with full deposit/proof of insurance etc any questions just ask. Tel: Andy

How to: Use the Calendar to create an event
Posted by: Aegis Bearing Mel - 28-08-11, 10:50 AM - Forum: Events, Meets, Ride outs etc - Replies (3)

A rather nice feature of this here new and spangly board is that by creating an entry in the Calendar using the tab at the top of the screen, you automatically get a thread created in Events.

It's also nice and straight forward as even I managed it!

So, to create your event hover on the Calendar tab up top and you will be greeted with a two option drop down menu.
Select the "Post Event" option and it will take you to a screen not dissimilar to this one.
[Image: index.php?action-media;sa=item;in=284][smg id=284]

The Subject box at the top is what the thread title in the events section will be.
The standard looking forum text box is exactly that, just type in the information you want to about your event.
Prices, location, Foccers attending and the like.

The clever bit is the Event Title and Event options section.
Whatever is typed into the Event Title box is what appears on the Calendar itself.
[smg id=285]

Using Moff and the Spring Meet as an example, it would mean that Spring Meet could be the event title that appears for the days it's on in the Calendar, whilst the Subject title can be edited by Moff to show updates like band booked, monies due and so on.
The Calendar would still only show "Spring Meet", letting the non attendees know that it's running whilst the attendees can keep an eye on the thread itself.

The date boxes to the right of the Event Title box are straight forward, use the drop down menus to get the date you need.
The Number of Days option under these allows the event to run up to seven days from the start, again just use the drop down menu to select how long it's on for.

As if by magic, on clicking the Post tab at the bottom your event is now up.
[smg id=287]
[smg id=286]

If you need to change anything about the event you have a couple of options.
If it's just to update attendees, costs or to say the event is full, go to the Events section on the board and edit the post as you would a normal one, job jobbed.

If you need to edit anything about the event on the Calender, such as the number of days it's running for, the title that appears in the Calendar or, if needs must, delete the entire event then click on the Pencil icon next to the entry.
This will either be in the Calendar next to it or in the Upcoming Events box at the top of the forum screen.
This brings you back to the same screen that you used to create the Calendar entry.

Alter what needs altering and save edit, the updated title/dates will now appear.
If you've cancelled it then the moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain...

The thread itself will still be in the Events section however, so worth editing the post there as well, just to avoid confusion.

In the media section there is a folder entitled "Gatherings" for people to upload any photos, videos etc from the meets that take place.
I can create a separate sub-folder in this album for any events that there are likely to be a lot of photos from, for example the Spring Meet 2011 folder which is in there.
This allows all the photos from the event to be in the one place rather than in peoples individual albums.
