I cannot imagine how much work has gone into getting the site as good as it is ...Frazer if ever we meet you are due a pint or six....
If I just run through a few things which may be covered elsewhere then maybe it would be useful for reference..
- I do miss the old blue --it smacked of quality --maybe I will get to liking the pastel eventually.
- Photostorage link can we pull images from the old site or will there be an equivalent?
- The forum jump button...didn't realise how much I used it till it wasn't there
- Who's online on the top of the page...feels weird looking elsewhere...my only solace being I haven't seen VNA on the list yet :pokefun
- Uploading images I am having to cut'n'paste ...be good if I could simply browse for images in my own folders
- Facebook link...be good to have a link as there's many of us subscribe to both..I know Magnetic is playing with it at the mo and it's being a sod.
Still mighty impressed and grateful for the clever folks who can do computery stuff

Hi to all, first post on this new forum site.
Just finished my R1 front-end conversion using 5PW forks and yoke. Took it out for a quick blast and found the front end a little soft, so need to do some adjustments.
What I'm after is, does anyone know the standard settings for both preload, compression and damping for this model of R1

Found out yesterday at a non-championship grasstrack hillclimb that myself and pilot Roger are the 2011 VMCC lefthand grasstrack champions. We snatched the title by 18 points. GET IN THERE!
We also won the hillclimb yesterday on the 200 mtr track with a time of 13.48 seconds. Doesn't sound fast and you could do a quater mile in that time but remember this was on grass hill. with a badly rutted start line. We did however get beaten (for once) in the handicap race against a GSX600 trike... Only just.
So some sad news. Due to family commitments and lack of dosh I'm now retiring from motorsport knowing that I'm a champion on two wheels, four wheels and now on three wheels. One better than John Surtees Though probably not in the same callibre.
There are two more events that I have to do this year before I finish and finaly hang my helmet up.
One. Attend a Speedway Training Day at Sittingbourne speedway track on 16th October. Can't wait for this sounds awsome and not for the faint hearted
Two. Attend VMCC prize giving at end of November to collect our championship trophies.
Job done

My Rev Counter on my 04 Fazer 1000 when I turn the ignition before starting
the engine it shoots up to 7k rev's for 2 seconds every 6 seconds until I start
the engine and then everything is normal. Anyone know what going on with it
is it an error or fault in the wire?
