Hi All, am stripping an '02 FZS600 engine as a piston blew resulting in a replacement needed. Only bad bits are 2 pistons, cylinder head and crankshaft. All the externals are fine, not sure about gearbox until I have a look.
If you're needing engine spares PM me what and i'll check it out first!

because at the moment im struggling to get the exup parts i need im thinking of blanking the pivot hole by using a snug fitting bolt and locking it by 2 nuts so nothing can come loose,i know i will lose the mid range power but will it cause the bike to be a bit spluttery in the rev range where the exup valve would be working? i know i could leave the exup slide in place but im thinking by leaving it out there is nothing to get in the way, anyone tried this and will it work?

Previous / Next links |

When you're reading a thread, there are links to take you to the next (& previous) thread in the forum - which is dead handy.
There's also a link (up top next to your avatar) which shows all unread posts since last visit - which is also dead handy.
What would also be dead handy, is if, having clicked to see the unread posts and then selected a thread to read, the next/previous links took you to the next/previous in the unread list (as opposed to currently, where they go the next in the forum the thread being read was posted in).
Sure this would be possible, but dunno how much work would be involved - or even if I'm the only one wants this?
Good idea / bad idea?

Hi Guys,
I've just bought an FZS1000-It's great but I would like to get a bigger screen as it's a bit windy at high speeds. Has anybody got any suggestions for a good screen?
I've seen a double bubble version but it's only 3cm higher than standard. Is that going to make much of a difference?
Thanks in advance,
Scott
