It appears that someone has sent me an email that can access my address book and forward itself to all my contacts. NOT GOOD!!!
I have altered my settings to put all incoming mail into junk until I accept it. I have also altered password etc.
The only way I found out was delivery reports advising of failed delivery at 06.00 this morning. :eek
Anyone else had this type of bug and anything else I should do.

This is possibly my favourite thread ever and deserves a showing to all the n00bs

I have a really nice 99 FZS600 which I have loved for a few years now. I commute on it, track day it, and enjoy doing most of my own spannering on it (see FZS 600 forum).
At the weekend I saw a low mileage (3500) 2001 FZS1000 in mint condition and suddenly decided I needed all that extra power.

Would you recommend the trade up?
What do I need to look for when buying secondhand?
What will I miss about the 600?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Hi Chaps, has anyone fitted any of the K&N cone type air filters to there Fazer 1000. Any info on Carb diameter, rejetting and any issues removing old air box would be greatly recieved. cheers minty.

Hi guys, I've been quoted £250 max for an engine replacement that's with me, obviously providing the engine, oil, oil filter and spark plugs.
Does this sound reasonable or shall I carry on looking for cheaper ?


The mechanic says it's an all day job but I was under the understanding (just guessing really) like 5 hours at most if all goes to plan, which at his standard rate of £30 P/H would be around the £150 mark.


Has anyone actually replaced an engine on the fazer and would be able to tell me how many hours labour it took you, Obviously from taking the old one out, Putting replacement in so she runs..
