Just a quick hello thought I'd re-introduce myself on the new board.
I've had a silver pretty much standard 2007 FZ1 fazer for about 2.5-3 years and has just ticked over 30,000 miles. Loving the bike (just can't find anything I would change it to).
Anywho, Howdy

Afternoon, first time I've ventured onto the new boards!
Quick question, went to adjust the chain on the bike today and looking at the axel nut it's bigger than any socket (or spanner) I have can anyone confirm the size for me? I think it's 31mm but want to be sure before I go out trying to find a socket of that size
thanks in advance

Hi Forum,
In a bit of a conundrum which way to go now I have decided to keep the old girl.
Want to stop the Eurofighter fork dive on standard springs but don’t need razor race performance handling.
Got an Ohlins rear shock mainly to use stronger springs for 95% two up riding for the combined weight.
Ktech want £495 for their magic & Kais want £250 for the Ohlins upgrade.
Just wondering if anyone has had either fitted & what where your experience’s?
Opps, should have read the last thread anyway, one must better than the other in some way!!!

I hear the trial to allow motorbikes in bus lanes has been extended.
I always felt the biggest danger was vehicles turning left without looking and pedestrians jumping out from behind stationary traffic????
Any stories from you actual bikers??? :eek

In the beginning there was a fizzy. Then came 17 and a CB100n, i still don't know why but it got me through my test. Then came a z500, great fun but still don't know how i didn't kill myself on it. Then Thatcher's Briton didn't suit me and years of no money and bodging together crap bikes ensued. Eventually back on me feet, family, mortgage etc and enough cash to bye something worth riding led me to a 99 600 fazer, best fun I've ever had on two wheels. So there you have it my biking life story in a nut shell.
Bike's done a fare few miles, engine is sweet but handles like a pig now so I'm currently replacing head stock, wheel and swing arm bearings, rear shock is good and I've replaced the pitted leaking forks for some immaculate later ones, some new tyres and show me the sunshine.
So i will probably needing some help soon, if that's ok.
