  Hello from sunny south wales
Posted by: Panthor - 02-03-12, 12:24 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (8)

Hi,
Hopefully I will soon pass my DAS and will then be able to use my 2003 fzs600 that I recently acquired. Got my theory booked for next week then DAS ASAP. I've been a 125 rider for since 17 (now 27) so ive done a few cbt's, so hopefully shouldn't find the big test to bad.

One question I have is I saw a video on YouTube about changing the dash light colour but since I watched it have been unable to find again and was wondering if someone could tell me what bulbs are needed or a link to the video? Thanks

  meeting opportunity. Andover 22nd - 24th June 2012
Posted by: Lumpy - 02-03-12, 12:23 PM - Forum: Events, Meets, Ride outs etc - Replies (3)

I've finally managed to sort all the details for the Andover Bash on the 22nd - 24th June 2012. Business as usual for those that have been before.
Arrivals welcomed after 2pm on the Firday and go whenever sorted on the Sunday. The cost has been kept to only £8,50 hoping to get a good turnout, I would appreciate day guests paying £5 towards the event. Paypal is the easiest way to pay for the attendance.
Food will be available on Friday evening, Breakfasts Saturday and Sunday morning, evening hot food on the Saturday and snacks during the day. Tea and coffee etc. available all day.
It would be nice to see a few new faces, as well as the regulars. It is very important to keep in touch with old friends and make new.
Please see attached form. One is a field form and the other not as there were difficulties last year  operator error I reckon.
Please e-mail the form back to me at the address provided on the form. Ta.
Any questions, please ask.
Address is
Andover Rugby Club. SP11 0TA.

EXUP and pipes GEN1 and GEN2 compatability
Posted by: Ghoti - 02-03-12, 11:20 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (3)

Firstly, sorry to start another thread on EXUP valves.

Whilst talking to a friend about EXUP valves he mentioned he has a spare (complete exhuatst actually) from an 06 Fazer, which he thinks is a fuel injected one (sounds right to me).

Would the EXUP valve from the Gen2 pipe fit my 02 Gen1?
Would the downpipes fit my Gen1?
Any other parts work stealing for the Gen1 from a Gen2 pipe?

Searched the 'net for info but all I can find for the EXUP valve is that they work differently (It seems the Gen1 has the EXUP for more power and the Gen2 for sound reasons, there is one reference that the EXUP valve is the same and the solenoid is different (but that is just from a bulletin board!).

Thanks in advance.

  Blue Mk1?
Posted by: Andy Clap - 02-03-12, 11:19 AM - Forum: General - Replies (11)

I'm compiling a list of recently sold 600 Fazers and came across this.  I don't recall the Mk1 in this blue (looks like the Mk2 blue).  Am I right?

  Things you regret when pisssed.
Posted by: Madders - 02-03-12, 11:07 AM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

Got horribly pissed last night having been out for curry and beers. When we got home we decided to play scrabble and in a moment of drunken madness I decided to swallow a handful of pieces. Well the curry's pushing through now so I'm off for a toilet visit............

Flat tyres and another run of bad luck . . . .
Posted by: Skinbeatersam - 01-03-12, 10:20 PM - Forum: General - Replies (8)

Just recently had some bike trouble, cracked air intakes and replacements fitted, carbs balanced and cleaned, front yoke straightened (I reckon some twat drove into it, bending it out of shape, as it happened over night) brakes cleaned and sorted after the winter stresses and a nice set of new Michelin Road Pilots. All for £450. Had the new tyres less than a week and today found a nice big screw in the middle of the rear one.

Quite upset. Please say I am not the only one with this run of misfortune??
