I've just fitted a new rear BT021 on my FZS 600, with a 150 mile ride in the rain likely on Sunday to a course for work, how many miles would it take to get it scrubbed in, prob done 20m on it today with no problems!

Ok so I'm all questions and no answers at the moment. The bike has been laid up over winter. Started on the button but the throttle is a little sticky. I will take it for a run this weekend but do you have any tips on a quick fix/lube for throttle cable ? Drop a bit of 3 in 1 ?.
I hope the run will loosen it up a bit anyway.

Spark plugs again |

Ok I was going to post on the other thread but it was to long and mostly an argument. One of my plugs (plug 1) is in at a different angle if only slight. It maybe that the thread has been stripped. Now the bike runs as per normal with no blowing around the plug.
Question
Has anyone had to re- thread a plug hole and is it expensive. On the last thread the starter stated a plug had snapped in his! Did you have to re thread or did you get it out. Is there any point in re threading if no blowing and the bike runs like normal. ?

Need to pick some brains, took my fazer 1000 gen 1 to be dyno tested today as i had a gut feeling it was holding back. Turns out to have the european restriction producing 98.8 bhp @tbw. Does anybody know exactly how it is restricted either carbs, cam, ecu or a combination of them all ? Fair play to my local bike shop where i bought it who said they would remedy it for me foc which i didn't expect tbh. Only i want to get it ivanised soon but to my mind, depending on the way it is restricted need to sort this first. Any feedback or advice will be welcome.

Horror footage of speeding biker |

Speeding biker hits 156mph on motorcycle - dangerous or careless?
A MANIAC on a bike weaves between cars in a lethal 156mph police chase. Frightening footage of the pursuit on the busy A1 motorway was captured by a camera on board a police motorbike.
Peter Clarke, 44, was seen in eight minutes of footage undertaking and scraping through small gaps on his powerful Suzuki.
Despite claiming he was in total control at all times — and insisting it was built for speed — he was convicted of dangerous driving but still walked free.
Clarke, from Sutton St Edmund, Lincs, had admitted speeding but denied the second charge.
He was convicted by a majority verdict following a trial at Peterborough Crown Court.
Clarke did not notice the cop behind him on the north-bound carriageway near Alconbury, Cambs, and was stopped near Sawtry.
Hang on...weren't the Police speeding as well? You can't have it all ways...one rule for them and one for us...wouldn't it be nice to live your life the way you wanted, ?
