ANY WIRELESS TV DONGLE EXPERTS HERE??????
Posted by: DILLIGAFF - 28-03-12, 01:52 PM - Forum: General - Replies (5)

Bought a WLAN USB STICK for my Samsung TV, mainly because ALL the reviews said it worked straight out of the box???

Now been trying for 3 DAYS to get it connected :'(  No joy with the WPA auto connect.

For one brief moment it said "trying to connect to your Windows Media player" but that message disappeared before I could press OK

The closest I get now is    "Physical connection established but not connected. Check your TV or connected device"    ???????

I am sure it is some simple check box I have not found.

Any Foccers had experience???????????

pyramid hugger fitting to 02 FZS600
Posted by: clayt74 - 28-03-12, 12:43 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (17)

Hi all,
I have just ordered a rear hugger from Pyramid but I am having to have it delivered to my work place.
I'm wondering if anyone has fitted one of these and if its an easy job? i.e in a lunch break at work with minimal tools?
or is it likely to need the wheel removed and re-aligned and risk to much going wrong for a lunchtime tinker?

Also since ordering it i have seen a few people with thou's that were not happy with the fit, anyone had good or bad experiance with the pyramid fit on the '02 600's?

many thanks

  Rear disc bolts
Posted by: james43 - 28-03-12, 11:51 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (14)

Hi all ,

1st time poster.

Got a 2005 55 last of the Gen1 Fazer 1000's.

Had it 2 years but never been completely happy with it.

I bought it for an absolute song at £1750 but it was rough when I had it.

The bloke who had it before me had tried to turn into the "rat look" whatever that is, it had been sprayed a matt black that looked terrible had all the stickers and mirrors removed and filled in.

As these bikes are bulletproof I thought i'd tinker with it and get it back up to standard.

There was nothing actually wrong with the bike it was just abused unloved and very weathered.

Anyway i've stripped it right down and i'm in the process of a full respray and overhaul.

A full engine service, new exup valve and cables and she runs like a different bike (we are now starting to bond lol)

However a more pressing issue I've chewed up the allen key bolts on the rear disc stripping the wheels down to be sprayed

I cant seem to find replacements anywhere, anyone got any suggestions

I will post some pics once done as i don't want to jump the gun

But I recon about another 2-3 weeks. If I can get the disc bolts...

Cheers

What looks and operates best on the faser???

Fuzzys mirror mod,
handlebar mirrors and the fairing mounts blanked (were can i get blanks)

This is due to out bog standard mirrors being bog standard crap lol the view is of my elbows and i need to see not only traffic behind me but the daughter is now a rider and follows us to rallies etc (obvoiusly now need to make sure dont lose her)

answers on a postcard  :b :b :b

  Front sprocket
Posted by: pitternator - 28-03-12, 08:04 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (28)

As part of my ongoing refresh of my gen1, I am replacing the chain and sprockets. Its actually the first time I have had the sprocket cover off since buyingthe bike in 08 and was expecting some force to remove the sprocket nut , but it was almost loose ! The copper tab washer was in place, and the nut  came off very easily.I was quite surprised to see a lot of wear from the sprocket , as the rear is almost like new ( 37 k miles !)...but the front is u/s...and the teeth very thin indeed, and visibly hooked .The chain itself is not totally worn out , but it was a bit of a shock to see how bad the sprocket was. Food for thought as if it had got any worse, possibly  the chain could have jammed, should one or more teeth collapse.... :eek
