| Cant scrap the lean angle limiter (screw) |

Hello guys.
I've something that is puzzling me.
I bought a used FZS 600 (98-99) that had no lean angle limit warning screw (under the footpeg). I bought ones from Yamaha, which I suppose are the original. I have never managed to scrap it on the tarmac. My rear wheel is totally used on the right side. There is not a 1mm "chicken strips" on the right side of it, so I would suppose I should have already scrap it on the tarmac. But that never happened. I fear I may reach, or go over the limit of grip of the tyre and may loose the rear wheel and crash, as I have no indication (by scrapping the limiter) that I ve reach the limit of the wheel grip.
Do you have an explanation for this?
Thanks
Mike

In the sixties,I don't know what year but it was before digital technology scientists sent a signal from the top of the Chrysler building 82 miles, creating a record for the time. They'd have you believe before the sixties were out they'd sent man in a rocket to the moon and were talking to them on the way, then when they landed Neil Armstrong and his colleagues walked about chatting to N.A.S.A. :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Hi,
I've joined this forum today as I have recently purchased a Fazer and it seems like a really good resource for such an old model when information is becoming harder and harder to find. I'm Jack - the Fazer is my 6th bike but unfortunately after having a CBR650F and a CBR500R stolen within a week I've been left with no choice but to get something a little older!
I have changed my clutch recently on the Fazer and unfortunately after 5x apart (supplied wrong springs) I have finally been given the right springs.
Unfortunately however I was so excited about my clutch working properly that I have misaligned the pressure plate and it is now broken :eek
I have looked all over for a new pressure plate but to no avail, my only option seems to be to order one from Fowlers Parts... Does anybody know if the clutch pressure plate is a common type used on any other models or if I'd have to get a Fazer specific one from a parts supplier?
I would really appreciate any help given as I don't particularly want to spend over £70 on something that could be had quite cheap on Ebay were there to be a compatible one for sale!
Thanks

Hi guys.
Only just bought the Fazer 600 ( 2000 Model ) a couple of weeks ago.
Now, I see that it works with one light being DIP and the other light being full beam, however, the amount of light that they produce is close to useless.
I live in North Wales and I use lots of windy roads, and while I am not a fast rider anymore anyway, the light I do use, means that Im riding around at a possibly dangerously slow speed.
Even on the expressway, on full beam, I can ride right behind a car, with my lights in the rear window, and it does not blind the driver ( yes, I tested it with a mate, not a stranger LOL )
Ok, so enough whinging, is this normal? Surely not, and what are the best / brightest bulbs I can put into the Fazer, without any stress on the electrics?
I am considering a few toys for the Fazer, forward controls ( or at least footpegs ) , rear rack , and extra lights, but Id rather simply put proper decend bulbs in to be honest.

Just introducing myself people. I have just bought an FZ1 2007 57 plate in green 20k on the clock, looks great but I don't get it until Saturday. I rode back in my teens and haven't owned a bike since so it's all new to me again. "Born Again Biker" I think is the phrase. :lol
I'll be popping in now and again for advice etc.. and to put my 2p worth in on anything interesting!
Ian
