Not that I'm easily diverted from, oh look, a bear, from current thoughts and plans, but...

Man, that bear is dancing wearing a grass skirt and coconuts.
Anyway.

How about heading over to Germany for the International Fazer Meet toward the end of July?
Or we could take the tents, piss off over there 6th July and not come back until August?
Wink

Good Screens For a 2000 Fzs 600 Fazer
Posted by: Skinbeatersam - 25-04-12, 09:18 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

A mate of mine has fit a rather awesome screen to his FZ6, and he says it makes a massive difference to him and his pillion.

I am looking for a good screen that'll offer protection from wind/rain, that'll fit a 2000 Fzs 600. (Not a foxeye)

Can people post up any links if they know of any place that'll do screens for this model??

Frolic No More. Sept 2012 *Cancelled/postponed*
Posted by: Suzz - 25-04-12, 08:04 PM - Forum: Events, Meets, Ride outs etc - Replies (37)

Hi Guys

It is with regret that Ian & I have to pull out of our part in trying to organise the Frolic 2012. :'( We have a family event that has been arranged on the weekend of 7th & 8th September that we have to attend. If anybody else is able to take this on and try to garner more interest then that would be great. This is the list of names who said they were interested along with the conditions to book the place:

The proprietor at The Fountain Inn at Parkend near Lydney (same venue as before) said it was available for the nights of 7th & 8th September for sole use. (this would need to be checked again as not confirmed due to shortage of numbers).

The costings are very much the same at £22 per person for the 2 nights with bed packs available at £5 each and breakfast available from the pub.
A minimum of 22 people to reserve the Lodge for sole use for each night and there is a maximum of 32 places available  in all.
I was suggesting people make a non returnable deposit payment of £10 per person for the weekend to secure it.

for more info on location :http://www.fountaininnandlodge.co.uk/location.html

Thanks

Soraya (aka Suzz/Mrs Scrag Meister)

  Exup Again
Posted by: GecHo - 25-04-12, 04:33 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (4)

as you may know i have recently sold my fazer and bought an R1and had the same problem with my fazer, i have posted my question on 2 r1 based forums but they are either full of numptys or just dont like me lol, here goes,,,,, i have adjusted the exup as per pats site and its set perfect always returns to dead centre after i have dont a ignition recycle BUT when the engine is running the vale looks like it is open way too much, lets say 5 to 12 instead of maybe 10 to 12 and when i rev the bike it doesnt rotate how it should, if i move the exup by hand and do the ignition its back to centre how it should, any help would be great coz i know you are a great bunch of chaps on here. also does the tps have any bearing on what the exup does as i have set it to 5 spot on and today adjusted it with engine running at 3800 and moved it to get the highest revs which was 4500 and all this has made no change, sorry and i get no error codes for either exup or tps
cheers Mick

  Tank size
Posted by: HarryHornby - 25-04-12, 03:31 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (14)

OK, please feel free to take the p1ss if I'm being blonde here, but....

I was just trying to work out my rough fuel efficiency, so I looked on this site and saw that my bike should have a 20 litre tank.  It's a mk1, registered on an 02 plate, so I'm guessing one of the last box-eye ones.  According to a page on this forum about changes to models, means I've got a 20 litre tank.

This go me thinking..... I always fill up a few miles after the petrol light comes on (usually about 20 ish).  I fill up and it normally costs me about £21 on todays prices so about 15 litres, but a 20 litre tank should cost £28, that's quite a bit of difference.

Is it that the petrol light is set to come on when you efectively have a quarter of the tank left?  Seems a lot to me.
