  Ducati GP12
Posted by: Skippernick - 29-04-12, 12:04 PM - Forum: Diesels and Lawnmowers (Bike racing n things) - Replies (9)

So Hayden has put the GP12 onto third position for the race today, admitedly 1.0 sec off pole, and Rossi is the last prototype bike in 13th position, 3.5 seconds behind.
And i got slagged off for saying its not the bike its the rider, now i feel vindicated.
Don't get me wrong i am a fan of Rossi, but even Parrish is quoted in this months fast bikes as saying he is not the rider he once was.

Agruments start now.....

  Tyre choice
Posted by: fazerdude1 - 29-04-12, 11:40 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (39)

Hi all, can anyone recommend a good sports touring tyre for my 00(y plate) FZS600? I currently have Sportmax on front and rear, these are what was fitted when i bought the bike so stuck with a match when the rear needed changing. I'm not the sportiest of riders and would like to put a more durable tyre on for longer trips and a bit of rance this summer. Cheers.

  Alarm wiring loom
Posted by: FuZzBoM - 29-04-12, 10:11 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (4)

Hi, i am planning to wire up the power for my satnav and luckily there is a ignition switch wire under the seat for the alarm circuit. my question is does anyone know how much load would be safe to put across it?

The satnav is only 1 amp max but the last thing i want to do is burn something out.
my other plan was to just be on the safe side and fit a relay.

I also plan to fit an alarm shortly so i guess that would be extra load on it.

Hi how do these fit into the standard down pipes? and will i have to permanently remove the belly pan?
Also i use give luggage (with side racks) will these cans still allow this or will i have to put spacers in and longer bolts so as get more clearance (similar to how the rear pegs fit in his pics)

New biker needs foggy visor help....
Posted by: robcaton1234 - 28-04-12, 08:53 PM - Forum: General - Replies (22)

I wear a caberg flip front helmet and glasses. I just bought and fitted a proshield anti fog visor insert which has solved the visor problem but my glasses still fog up......I can't buy the usual anti fog masks that fit into the inside of the helmet as these apparently don't work with flip front visors. Someone told me that you can buy a mask with a tube that feeds your breath down and out but I can't for the life of me find one. if anyone has any ideas I'd be very gratefull.....I'm having a hard enough time just staying upright on my bike at the moment without worrying about not being able to see where I'm going!!!!! :rollin :rollin :rollin

Although the side panels say SPRINT it is a trident and by the time it sells I will have painted up the spare panels and decalled them up as trident. Comes with complete spare bodywork... Green tank, yellow front mudguard, and nuclear red seat unit, Givi tank cover (Green), Also boxes and boxes of spares like lower bars, brake calipers etc etc

The only downside is that the starter motor stick occassionally but I will probably get around to fixing this...
