| Down one tooth on the front sprocket |

As per the title. Thinking of going down one on the front. I moved up to inters last year on the track, and I rode faster as a result. while the fazer has very decent braking and allows me to brake later and harder than others in the group, those same bikes simply blast past me out of the bends. Id like a little more punch out of the corners, hence the thought of going down one on the front. It appears it would give me +6.3% on acceleration, but -6.3% on top end. Since the bike cant get to the top end before the end of the straights,m I don't think Ill miss that loss, and the acceleration gain will allow me to get there quicker.
I'm also either going to have to mod the fairing lowers, or leave them off. After wearing a hole in them leaning over, i fitted replaceable slef lube nylon sliders, and wore them too, so I'm thinking off cutting the lowers and fastening them somewhere higher up the machine, but Ill lose the edge return at the bottom of the fairing.
Any thoughts anyone?

Hi all, I am thinking about fitting higher bars to my second Gen Fazer 1000 model year 2007.
I suspect the clutch cable will not be long enough, does anyone know of a longer version ?
Perhaps of the first edition Fazers for example.
The brake lines I can swap out for braided lines etc.
Throttle cables might need extending as well i guess.
Any suggestions ?
Cheers

So after a month of getting used to my new 06, FZ1-S, I decided to get clever and check the rotor magnets weren't looking like they were going to fail.
As I pulled the cover off, a washer and 2 of the rubber cush mounts feel straight down the hole into the bottom of the case. Doesn't look like any hope of fishing them out..
I'm guessing I need to order a new alternator gasket, new oil pan gasket and new exhaust gaskets and get busy?
In my head, I need to disconnect exup, remove exhaust at header and take it as one piece, drop oil, drop oil pan. Fish the bits out then stick it all back together? Is there anything I've missed our need to be wary of?
Deffo going to reassemble the stator/rotor before replacing the oil pan!
Anyone else done this? The magnets looked fine, which is even more annoying!! :'(

If I get my hands on them before the legal process does, it may cost them even more than the money they have scammed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My blood is boiling at the moment. The father-in-law is in hospital and basically wont be going home again as they are looking to move him to a care home. In come social services and start wanting to see details of investments etc. Luckily my Mrs went to the meeting with the MIL and started finding out about the "investments" they have. :headbang
quick history - 10+ years ago they bought a timeshare (daft but they did) for about £40K :headbang)
10- years ago they agreed to sell it and never received the money (about £50K allegedly)
Since then they have spent about £50K trying to recover the £50K. Will they ever feccin learn.
All the companies involved have disappeared, closed down, etc
Now to make it worse, we have discovered they bought another "off-plan" investment property in the Caribbean about 8 years ago for about £70K by mortgaging their house :headbang
The MIL didn't even realise this was a scam too until I mentioned it yesterday
All the companies involved in this have gone pop too. All owing money to each other according to companies house.
Once I get all the info together, it will be decision time. Walk away, go through the legal route and courts to try to recover something or use a known (to me) debt collection company to go and break some legs collect what's owed. All the directors hide behind correspondence addresses but I have ways to find their actual addresses and even if all of their apparent assets are in the wifes name, recovery may be possible.
