  BARGAIN > Pazzo-Style Levers
Posted by: MadDogMcQ - 23-06-12, 09:28 AM - Forum: General - Replies (15)

The reason I'm posting this, is to spread the news that yes, now and again you can find a genuine bargain!  :eek

Twice now, I've bought a pair of Pazzo-style levers for £24 from Hong Kong and twice I've been absolutely delighted with the product. The first time I bought these was for my CBR600 and to be honest with you, I wouldn't have been surprised if they had never arrived or if they were a load of cheap tat. But they did arrive and they look great!!

They fitted to the CBR with no problems whatsoever and so I decided to order a pair for the FZS. They arrived after a week and as before, they came superbly packed and went onto the bike without a single hitch. How the hell can you beat that for £24? Even if you only wanted some new levers to replace your battered old ones, these are a perfect, cost-saving replacement.

I heard about them in a bike magazine (copy attached). The levers are available in a very wide range of colours and sizes and are available to fit most bikes.

  another exhaust question
Posted by: Notch000 - 23-06-12, 12:06 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (12)

Recently fitted a SP carbon can on my FZR, since fitting my bike had a developed a vibration around 4800-5500 RPM, not all the time and seems to be worse when hot,

the vib is felt most in the right foot peg, I cant really feel it thru the bar or anywhere near as bad on the LHS, i ve check the exhaust for leaks and also checked the cener stand is sitting snug on the new link pipe ?? the ped also apears solid with no loose fittings

Is something to do with the engine/carbs etc ??? do i need a tune or something ?? im pretty new to this all
My bike is also fitted with a 25kw restrictor

  Grab handles
Posted by: Panthor - 22-06-12, 09:56 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (4)

Just wondering if any other grab handles fit on the fazer instead of the standard one that goes all the way around? Would like individual sporty looking handles that aren't joined.

Anyone got this fuel exhaust? Sounds good!

Found a video of this exhaust on youtube.  Its sounds really good but would it be too loud to get away with in the UK?
Its a Fuel exhaust.

  Knackering vibration low rev
Posted by: tordfo - 22-06-12, 05:03 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (25)

Hi!

Any ideas what could be wrong? It happens only at about 2000rpms. I cant notice it in neutral (when just revving), but in all gears when driving.

Sound like "DRRRRRRRR" and you can both hear and feel the "knockering vibration" in those low revs, and just when touching maybe 2500/3000 rpms everything floats like a boat again...

It is fitted with a sport exhaust, and I dont think it is retuned in that regard. Could it "just" be in need of retune or maybe carburators need syncing? Im pretty new in motorcyckling so i dont really know what to look for. I have just checked the front sprocket and everything seems ok there. There is new chain and sprockets all over...

I might mention that i feel there is a lot (to much?) slack when going on/off throttle/shifting, but chain and all seems to be within limits. I have not checked the cush drive rubbers.. (my thought).

Any ideas?

In ancient Greece (469 - 399 BC), Socrates was widely lauded for his wisdom. One day an acquaintance ran up to him excitedly and said, "Socrates, do you know what I just heard about Diogenes?"

"Wait a moment," Socrates replied, "Before you tell me I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test."

"Triple filter?" asked the acquaintance.

"That's right," Socrates continued, "Before you talk to me about Diogenes let's take a moment to filter what you're going to say. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

"No," the man said, "Actually I just heard about it."

"All right," said Socrates, "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about Diogenes something good?"

"No, on the contrary..."

"So," Socrates continued, "You want to tell me something about Diogenes that may be bad, even though you're not certain it's true?"

The man shrugged, a little embarrassed. Socrates continued, "You may still pass the test though, because there is a third filter, the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about Diogenes going to be useful to me?"

"No, not really."

"Well," concluded Socrates, "If what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me or anyone at all?"

The man was bewildered and ashamed. This is an example of why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem.

It also explains why Socrates never found out that Diogenes was shagging his wife.

lo' everyone. I'm Ollie.

Just picked up a tatty (well used..!) old FZS600 last week that I'm going to restore back to her former glory! Riding on the restricted license at the minute sadly but looking forward to getting out and about on the Fazer nonetheless.

Looking forward to getting involved in the Foccer community  Big Grin
