  Laughing at other biker's crash
Posted by: alan sherman - 29-06-12, 12:03 PM - Forum: General - Replies (6)

Am I a bad person to laugh at a crash?

9am, Putney High Street.  4 blokes on race reps, loud exhausts, headlights on full beam, all the gear, revving and shouting at car drivers.  Definitely showing off and looking for attention.

Light goes green and they roar off up the high street.  One toward the back dips the clutch and the front comes up as he goes past me.  Next I hear the scrape of plastic on tarmac and look in my mirror.  I think he took out two of his mates!

I had to laugh as they were being idiots.  I just hope that they didn't take anyone else out. Crash was outside the station which is a very busy place for busses, taxis, pedestrians.

Am I  :evil  or  :rollin

Dyno Charts - Full Monty & Fuel End Can
Posted by: PieEater - 29-06-12, 09:25 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (7)

Following Mike doing the "Full Monty" on my bike last year I finally managed to get the bike to a Dyno. I had 2 sets of runs the first with the baffle fitted in my Fuel can and the second with the baffle removed, I thought the results were worth sharing as they show significant improvements in peak figures, delivery and fueling when running with no baffle. The tester was very impressed with the fueling and with the power that the bike was making, so kudos to Ivan and Mike. I'd also reccomend Somerton Motorcycle Engineering in Somerset for any bike related work, very friendly knowledgable blokes who do the full range from restoring classics using their engineering facilities to prepping and racing track bikes.

:book Hello Folks, I've been riding a Honda NTV650 shaft for 3 years. I have been very happy with this bike but after reading posts on this forum I'm seriously thinking about selling it and buying a carbed FZ6. I'm especially impressed by the fuel consumption - it looks almost as good as my NTV for much better performance. So if anyone has a '98-'03 model in red or blue please send details. I'm in Wolverhampton. Ride safe y'all.

  NO LONGER REQUIRED

Going blind looking through pages on e-bay trying to find the black (obv) rubber ovals which cover the grab rail risers (between the grab rail itself and the fairing) on my 99 FZS600. Anyone got spare? Or know where I can order the part?

Thanks
