Screen Raising Thingumy Jigg Free to Good Home
Posted by: flyboy - 02-07-12, 09:17 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (9)

Got this when I bought my Mk1 Fazer 1000. It raises the screen a few inches and sends the air flow over your head.  Its been ratling about my shed for a few years and I’m never going to use it So first to call dibs gets it for now’t, I will even post it free of charge if the recipient doubles the postage and puts it in the Help the Heroes or your local helicopter fund.

Would like to introduce myself: Im a 40 years old Uruguayan living and riding in Spain for a decade already. Got my first bike, a Yamaha SR 500, when I was 21 and from there it´s been a love affair: different girls (5) but all from the same family!
Right now I own a 95.000 miles ´02 FZS 600 and a 9000 miles ´04 FSZ 1000 that came to my arms a couple months ago. Im absolutely awed by it but also kinda sad about letting the 600 go (I dont think I will ever have a more fun, reliable bike).
I would like to hang around here and benefit from your wisdom  Wink .

Can I take advantage of my intro and ask something? Any reliable and forum-member´s tested brake&clutch levers to fit on the FSZ 1000 you can recommend?

Cheers!

  FJR1300 or Tiger 800????
Posted by: flesh - 02-07-12, 07:22 PM - Forum: General - Replies (34)

Well my FZ1 has been sold after 3 years so time to look for a replacement. I have given myself 3 options:
1. FJR1300........big and comfy and why not?
2. Tiger 800...... for a change (although my local Triumph Dealer is sh*!e)
3. FZ1 Fazer + a rat bike.......it would be on my 5th one  :\
Anyone any experience on any of the above (except the FZ1 cos I've done about 40k on them  Wink ) or comments on my choices would be appreciated (constructive or not  Smile )

  Centre stand fittings???
Posted by: lolliver - 02-07-12, 12:53 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (10)

Hi all,

I've just bought myself a centrestand on eBay for my '98 FZS600, but it didn't come with any of the fittings (springs, nuts, bolts etc)

Where would be the best place to get these remaining bits? I've tried WeMoto, eBay, cmsnl.com etc but not found them yet!

I rang my local Yam dealer and he suggested that he could kit me out for £50, which seems a bit steep to me.

Cheers,

Ollie

Hi guys,

I'm converting my Fazer into a cafe racer and need some rear sets and don't fancy spending 340 odd quid on some Gilles ones!  :eek

Any cheaper suggestions?

Cheers,

Giles  Smile

Do you think i could get 5k for my bike and Accessories ?
Posted by: chaparral02 - 01-07-12, 11:42 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (3)

Guys do you think i could get 5k if i sold my fazer and all the extra's ??
I would be putting the fazer back to standard and selling it and i would sell all the accessories on there own..
As i already learned that most people would not pay any extra for a motorbike with accessories fitted to it..

My Bike  details are
2008 gen2 FZ1-S with ABS (Done just under 5000miles)

Accessories details are
Full Yoshimura R-77 exhaust System
Sargent front & rear seats
Power command PCV 5
Auto tune
Ivan flys
Ivan FCE
LED rear light
MRV adjustable screen
Givi rack + Givi V46 monokey box
