Just ordered myself a set of the DL 650 handguards i know a few of you have used.
Couldnt seem to find a guide to fitting them but often mentioned is needing to modify them a bit.
Just so i know what im going to need when they arrive can anyone shed a little more light on it? or will it be one of those things that smack you in the face like a brick its so obvious when you see it lol

Best way to locate a coolant leak? |

Hi all!
I've noticed recently that after running the bike on short journeys there are lots of drips of green liquid on the left hand side of my engine casing. (I'm assuming it's coolant?) What's the best way to locate where this is coming from?
I've had a good look around but it's such a rats nest of hoses etc. around there that it's difficult to see where the problem lies.
Thanks,
Ollie

I am looking to upgrade my brake lines to stainless braided ones
What sytem have you guys gone for? - have you stuck with the single line to a splitter into to two lines front brake type or converted to a two lines from the master cylinder to caliper front system?
What are the merits of each system? ( other than one being cheaper)

Calling any heating engineers or knowledgeable persons |

I've just moved into a new house and the boiler was playing up. Managed to get someone local out to sort it out and they replaced various bits etc. and now the thing should just work, but the engineer is claiming that there is no oil flow from the tank and he can't understand why.
The oil tank is below the level of the house and the heating pump should draw the oil up to the house, but when he tested the lines he was getting no pressure in the oil feed or return.
However, when I went to look at the tank after he had left I noticed that the pull-to-read valve had been jammed open - which I think may isolate the oil flow.
What I need to know is : is there any legitimate reason to jam this valve open?
If not I suspect I am being taken for a ride
