FZS 600 Engine for sale |

Hello I have for sale a FZS 600 engine its got around 88,000 miles on it, i have removed the clutch and the drive shaft has heavily worn teeth, it runs with all the associated rattles you'd expect. In reality it'd suit as a set of spare parts. Obviously itd be very expensive to post so i'd prefer if someone could pick up from Peterborough. Fell free to make offers i'll consider anything, i am also currently after a headlamp unit, end can & a rear brake calliper & a front left brake calliper & would be happy to sort out an exchange
Many thanks & if you would like any more information please feel free to ask

Hi all,
been away a while I was on the old site and spent the weekend trying to log in lols.

Well its 3 years on and I'm back on a R1 but modified a little so with good behaviour I'm allowed out on weekends.
Cheers .

My bike seems to be getting hot when in traffic. I have not noticed it before so maybe its in my head. I have replaced the thermostat and flushed it through. New antifreeze but it seems just the same. When I am crusing it is fine. Can anybody think of a reason why the engine gets hot when riding slowly or stationary.
Bike has done 55k miles and seems to run fine.

Update to the ad...
I just lent the bike to my brother to go on a ride with the rest of my family. I was working... Well he took it out and fixated on a point outside the road and drove it off the road. :\ However, the damage was minimal. I almost had to strain to see the minor stuff that happened. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at S_Tuler@yahoo.com DONT REPLY ON HERE, PLEASE!!! I GET EMAIL DIRECTLY TO MY PHONE, I HARDLY EVER USE THE COMPUTER!!!

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum, had my eye on a fazer for my first bike and as my MOD2 test is coming up in the next couple of weeks I'm startin to have a good look around.
I'm looking for something that won't need a huge amount doing to it, I have the experience to fix but not the time! And as I'm using for commuting I need it to be up and running right away.
I spotted this on ebay, looks like a bit of a bargain, stainless steel down pipes, average miles, nice belly pan and double bubble screen, there is a minor fly in the oil though...
He says it has cam chain rattle and he has rather helpfully added a vid on youtube of the noise. Could you kind folks share your Fazer knowledge and tell me if I'm stepping into something that I shouldn't be? It doesn't seem like a massive job to sort from what I've read, but I wouldn't want the chain to fail on the drive back home and be left with a nackered engine.
It does seem cheap compared to what FZS600's tend to go for, is there anything else I should be looking out for if I go and view?
Thanks in advance guys.
