| Petition launched against Matlock Bath parking plans |

From MCN:
Quote:A petition has been set up to fight the planned parking charges for bikes on the streets of Matlock Bath, Derbyshire’s motorcycling Mecca.
Sheffield Motorcycle Centre (SMC) have started the online petition, approved by Derbyshire County Council, which requires 7,500 signatures to force a re-think and keep parking free on Matlock Bath’s North and South parades.
The village is one of the most popular destinations for bikers in the country, attracting thousands every month in summer, however, the council plans to bring in on-street parking charges for all vehicles on the North and South Parades, the areas usually full of bikes.
Are the Council so short sighted that they don't realise that any money raised from parking fees will be totally wiped out by the loss of income to businesses in the area??
You can sign the petition here

Morning,
My current thinking (no pun intended) is this..
iPhone to normal USB cable, USB cable to USB cigarette lighter adapter (5V output), this then goes into the Cigarette lighter socket (12V).
The -ve I'm thinking GND of the battery but where's the best place for the +ve? I thought either the +ve side of the Headlight fuse or the Ignition fuse, I only want power to the cable when the key is turned after all.
Any ideas, recommendations, personal experience? I'm a complete beginner when it comes to bike wiring so a comment like "just wire it into the starter relay" will get the same comprehension from me as it would do from my cat... :lol

Sidenote before I start: My wife has just cracked me up watching a Canadian woman fall off her horse at the Olympics by saying "She must have lost her suction" :rollin
Any, back on topic - I've ordered a Securix 4Channel SME DVR and cameras - has anyone used one of these as there is something specific I would like to find out about regarding the motion sensing and Alarm output ?

I was looking at panniers for my 2004 FZS1000 V35. I know I can get the tubular frame and fit the E21 but what about the V35 by Givi...
As far as I can see, there is not a fitting for them, has anyone managed to fit a set??
Any other suggestion for what works best and looks the biz!
Thanks.

Had the 600 about a month now ..no issues , did a d,i.y.job on the headlight , it now has two dip beams , got rid of a large top-box and rack that came with it, also replaced the mini indicators that were fitted to the rear, and put on foam grips, I went to a meet in Margate wednesday night, met a guy flogging a 52 plate with 2100 miles for £1100 GUTTED ! I paid £1200 for mine , and it was a cat C in 2002 ..still onwards and upwards ,I/ve got to get a double bubble to keep some of the wind off , the indicators don't self cancel , don't know if that's a fault or if the are all like that , all my other Yams self cancelled , even back in the 1970's minor gripe , still having cheap fun ...Tony
