wires - tex - 30-07-12 Hi, Does anybody know the wire colours on the side and headlight, ie what is live and negitive, im hooking a few things up. Thanks Tex Re: wires - ddtwelve - 30-07-12 the live one is the one you go ouch !!!! when you put your tongue on it :rollin Re: wires - tomlinscote - 30-07-12 Looking at the manual it appears that black is negative and black/yellow or black/green is positive, however the diagram was really tiny and hard to read clearly. I would start here using a voltmeter they are very cheap from places like Maplin. Hopefully someone else will know more! Re: wires - tex - 30-07-12 Thanks gents, will do, ordered the circuit tester. tex Re: wires - solorider - 30-07-12 side light earth=black power=blue/red headlight earth=black main beam=black/yellow dip beam=black/green from the wiring plug to the sidelight the wire colours change to earth=green power=brown Re: wires - tomjimtom - 30-07-12 Both wires are black coming from the back of the bulb, then go into a connector further down where they turn black/whatever (think it depends on the year) Just check with a multimeter (with the ignition on!) Tom Re: wires - tex - 31-07-12 Thanks again |
