Hi, in advance.
I am looking for some advice. I have bought some Oxford hot grips to fit to my 2002 FZS600. Ideally I would like to have them switched so they cannot beleft on when the ignition is off but do not know where best to connect them. Have read Alot that says not to splice into lighting circuits etc., some am looking at using a piggyback fuze connector. Has anypone used one of these, and are they safe? Or do you have any other suggestions for connecting the grips?
Thanks in advance.

I haven't been using the Fazer as much as maybe I should and she's getting a bit neglected. Had the bike from new and it's never let me down for the first eight year or so London commuting etc. However it's now starting to play up. Two year ago a blocked pilot jet caused a misfire that took me ages to diagnose. Now there's a new issue.
It wont start on the starter. It's almost like the battery is flat, you press the starter and you hear the starter relay tick-tick-ticking, and the motor turns over a tiny bit but just not enough to start. Battery is charged and seems fine. I've also connected my car battery but no difference. The starter relay has been taken off, tested confirmed to be working. Electrics is not really my bag so I'm struggling to understand the haines wiring diagram, which seems to be wrong for my model! One strange thing that I think is not correct is that I've got 12v on both the red/white and blue/white starter relay wires. Because of my lack of skills I was thinking of having a stab in the dark and swapping the starting circuit cutoff relay and seeing if that fixes it. Any advice would be appriciated.

I looking at getting stuff powdercoated.... as other thread.
But i still need to use the bike while this is being done.
can the bike support its own weight of the can without the hanger?
is there a affter market hanger that looks good if i decide to lose the rear pegs?

Hi guys & gals.
I'm thinking more and more about selling my FZS600 commuter bike as i've had one since 2006 and looking to buy something slightly younger. So, just trying to gauge what kind of money I might be able to get.
I'll put pics up before the end of the week but here's the details: -
2000 FZS600 in black
MOT till June 2013
8 mths tax
63,000 miles
Goodf stuff
Bombproof reliability - as a commuter it's never let me down
K&N filter - just re-oiled
New plugs
New Oil & Filter
Motad stainless pipes
Scottoiler
Oxford heated grips
Fuel can
BRAND SPANKING new Michelin Road Pilot 2 front tyre & plenty of meat on the rear (also RP2)
Fork seals replaced 6 mths ago
Brake caliper seals replaced & system bled and serviced 4 mths ago
C&S in good condition
Bad stuff
Forks are quite pitted
Some scratches on rear plastics due to soft luggage bungies rubbing
A few scratches on genny cover where I was clumsy and dropped it whilst trying to get onto centrestand
The bike is mechanically sound but the bodywork etc does show it's age and the fact that it's been used through all weather. Do you think i'd be asking for too much if I was happy to accept £1000?
Thoughts on a postcard
Brace
