Couple of pairs of the thin rubber gloves, so you don't have to put dirty hands back in your bike gloves.

EHIC card, plus originals of your log book, insurance, driving licence.

Motorcycle specific travel insurance (most wont cover you if you read the small  print).

No, the new law states you need 1 unused kit.

You only need 2 if you're planning to ride/drive after having a drink & want to test you're legal.  If you don't drink & drive there's no need for more than one.

was only recommending 2 in the event that if you actually use one then you are fecked! carrying 2 means you can use one and still be inside the law.

In the Misc section of our Articles there are two threads regarding your travel kit / what to pack.

At 4.99 for a twin pack breath kit it's not really an issue if its 1 or 2 !

The other reason it is two is so if the police pull you up and make you use one then if a different copper pulls you up you still have one spare, and are still within the law

Do you still need a green card insurance? ... you can tell its been a while since I took my car abroad

Do you need a red warning triangle on a bike?

what a load of bollocks.

les flic have their own digital units. nobody in france will be using these kits as they're probably to pissed to remember.
it's purely to counter the 'i had no idea i was over the limit' brigade.
and there is an amnesty until november for fines to be imposed (unless you have a GB plate)
