Anyone got a Triumph 1050 ST? |

Ok, I've been riding for five years on the FZ6-SA and I really like the bike, however I'm now starting to think about the idea of getting something a bit more meaty, but still in the Sports/ Tourer line and the 1050 ST looks rather interesting.
So I'd welcome (helpful!) comments, especially from anyone who's ridden both and can give me some idea of how they compare and whether it's a good upgrade option.

Hi all, as i often get flashed by car drivers i decided maybe i should get my preload setup correctly. does anyone know if each increment of adjustment has a weight guide at all? i am 6'3 and about 17 stone fully kitted up. it is adjusted 2 from top but i still get flashed. (in truth it does light road signs up) is it worth me going the extra 2 notches or should i get another spring? spotted a hyperpro for about £85 so thought that might be worth the investment.
cheers for your thoughts..

IVAN’s Dynamic TPS setting with 3 degree advancer. |

Having read many threads on setting the TPS 'Ivans dynamic way' with his full Monty fitted, I tried the same a few days back after fitting Holeshots 3 degree advancer.
I was surprised to find my fastest rpm was achieved with the TPS turned fully anti clockwise. Its initial static TPS position was approx ¾ clock wise with the tacho reading 5K as per normal TPS setting!
Dose this sound right with the advancer fitted?
It seams to start much better with no choke two days running, hope to get out on it tomorrow for seat of the pants test ride.
Just wondering if anyone has the same set up, what you found your TPS position to be set the ‘Ivans’ way?

Hey all. Just realised i aint done the old INTRODUCE YOURSELF thing so here we go..
Im Alan and used to be on here a few years back when i had a 2003 gen 1 600cc model.. I traded that in for a vfr800 but have been tempted back to the dark side again.. :-)
A couple of mates own them and have raved about how good they are so thought what the heck.. Ill check them out
So im trading in the viffer and picking up my new machine this sunday, a rather nice looking 05 fzs1000 in silver.. Mates picking up one the same day so i can see an interesting run back home to.Scotland..
Looking forward to seeing if this machines all folks claim it to be..
