Someone commented that with such a low post count "who is he" Well Im back, for a while at least. Ive had a look around to see whats going on now. Frazer has done a grand job of holding it all together. There are probably about 50 big posters missing. But I know they are still lurking in the wings as im told on Facebook that they still look but dont comment. The site is still fantastic for the information thats supplied. Lum who evidently no longer frequents this site, put together all the info on hot poop. Mike GTX is the master of all technical issues. Devilsyam, the King of bling . One thing this site was really good at apart from having some great arguements was the reality stuff. getting people together for bike meets. just meeting up mid week with some like minded guys that lived resonably close. Or some of the great weekends. I know the Spring Meet is still going, thanks to the eforts off Moff. but this year the Frolic took a dive and the summer meet has dissapeared. The Fazer is a fantastic bike, whether its an old one or the lastest 800. Its a style of bike, a riders bike. We need to embrace this site more, we need to get more involved, the lurkers need to come back again. I see some of the enthusiasm of new members. lets see if we all pull together, lets bring back its former glory. Comment if you want my shoulders are broad.

Hi all
I look likely to return to the fold over the weekend. I used to have a Fazer1000, Ivanised by the one and only, sold it about 3 years ago and bought a 1050 Tiger...great touring bike, but not 'me'. Went to live in France for a year, left it parked in the lounge most of the time, and when I came back last year I sold it.
Now looking to pick up an FZ1s at the weekend, however, I am hoping to get it in the back of my T4 campervan. Snag is that the free floorspace is only 28" wide, and this bike has the fairing panels on. So does anyone have an FZ1S with fairing panels who can tell me the widest point of the bike. The specs say 30", but I don't know if this is across the tips of the pegs.
I really am trying to avoid riding it back as the weather forecast is grim and its a long, long way!
Cheers
Rob G

Ive had Pirellis as long as I can remember always thought them a great tyre.
When I bought my FZ6 Fazer S2 it had Maxxis supersport tyres on it and to be honest I thought I would be changing them PDQ (being a tyre snob).
However...
They have been fantastic!!!
Ive just changed the rear for a Maxxis Diamond which is the sports touring version, it was £140 fitted.
Again I think its a super tyre feels very secure wet or dry. This has made me change my views on tyres and I would be happy to recommend Maxxis. Never thought I would be saying that!!!
