Hello and before you tell me I've posted I the wrong bit sorry.
Bought a right of fazer a couple of years ago ( r plate i think 14k mile anyway I'm after a tank in black and a throttle and cable) I'm after the street fighter look so which renthel bars will bolt straight on and which twin headlamps will look the best without costing a fortune?

hi dudes  my fazer engine is a wee bit tatty and wondering about a respray/touchup  any  ideas  on best type o paint and the best way of doing it                                                                                                                                                      cheers 

I sold it, it served me well for 28,000 miles, over three years in sunshine, snow, rain, hail I commuted, did sunny day blasts, did a track day on it, went on holiday on it. But in the end I got bored of it ... 





So after much searching for a replacement, and it did take a long time as the Fazer was such a competent bike ... I part ex'ed it in and got a 2005 R1. After 600 miles I already find it more comfortable, nicer to ride and bizarrely more economical (49mpg ... best the Fazer ever got was 43 and that was really hard work the 49mpg was easy).

Any idea what its based on?

ok so i think the carb fazer 600 is the best ever  made by yamaha and some owners of the 1000 say the 600 is better but now i,ve just discovered the 400 fazer  :eek
now dont flame me cos ive only had the 600 for a month or two and LOVE it and quite like this site    but why did yamaha make the 400 ?and how many were made ?-not many judging by how many pages there are on the 400 forum ,so dont flame me but enlighten me if you can on the pros and cons of a 400  :evil

Well us Sunday bikers (dry Sundays) haha :lol  might get a bit more biking done if the forcast is to be believed.


Actually last Sunday i was busy but there were loads of bikes out here making for the Welsh heaven.


I was out at motherinlaws mowing, heard some bikes coming and watched, 4 sit ups in a row, be it Fazers,street triples etc, i am noticing a high percentage of retro style bikes, standard bars, seen alot of them BMW 800 things too, very popular.
