Now my Gen 1 Fazer has gone to be replaced by the rorty and arm wrenchingly powerful cbf125 ( needed to save money!) I have the following for sale

Set of engine covers - Rocker, clutch, generator and "the other one" Rocker (definitely) and clutch (depending on how fussy you are) need a repaint but the others are fine. Have the clutch cover gasket to go with them plus the rocker box gasket and runbber seals from inside (both used)

I need to go back to despatching due to lack of money and mounting bills! :'(  Just wondering if theres any fazer couriers here that might know a cheap company to insure the fazer with. My existing company as well as most offer quotes I've had are over a grand! Bit of a shock considering the most I've had to pay was 800 when I was I new courier over 3 years ago, cheapest Ive had was 300 on a ntv650 so I doubt its beacause of engine size!? Any suggestions?

Has anyone done away with the airbox and just fit filters straight onto the carbs?
If so what size of clamp on filter did you need?

very good condition, yes I know Fazers have centre stands, but some of us remove them and have other bikes or mates who might be interested.

I have a total of 4 stands now, hence reason for sale.

I am selling a Titanium Akrapovic end can and link pipe on eBay. It has one fair size scratch on the band nearest the link pipe end (if you replaced the band, you would hardly notice) and a couple of other small marks but it works perfectly and sounds great! It includes the three springs, carbon strap and baffle (which easily comes out if you like it a bit louder).

ok, to fill it in a bit.. got a flat.  no biggie, it happens.  Got the RAC out to pick it up.  After waiting over an hour, they picked me up, loaded the fazer onto the back of a truck.  Got it home and unloaded it.  The mother#@*%ers ratchet strapped my bars on each side so tight the entire left hand control module is broken open, bars are bent and clutch lever is buckled.

Currently, squeezing my clutch does nothing other than turn on my high beams.  Bars are bent.  High/dip, pass trigger, horn, indicators - all dead.  Black knobbly bit on the indicator switch is m.i.a. 


...and RAC's responce so far??  Thats right.  Apparently, I agreed when i joined that any additional damage acquired as a result of transportation of my vehicle following a breakdown is my responcibility.
