  Projector headlights mod
Posted by: alexanderfitu - 15-12-12, 02:01 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - No Replies

Hi all

as is discussed a lot on this forum, the headlights on the Fazer are pretty poor.

I am interested in fitting dual Hi/lo Projector HID headlights as per my previous bike:

I split the headlight casings and installed these, aligned them and was very happy with the extra brightness.

The main issue on my 2001 model appears to be the space in the headlight, has anybody done this mod? Any ideas what sort of space there is in the headlights?

Thanks all

Hi all

I have just picked up a Fzs 600 - 2001 - 16,000 miles, and traded in my 09 Varadero 125 for it. No cash outlay Smile I'm a very happy bunny, its in very good condition.

Im not new to the bike world, started off 5 years ago on a YBR125, then moved to a XL125 Varadero, Passed my full test, kept the Varadero and got an NSR125, and a CB250 superdream (which I converted to Diesel Smile ), more info on that here (http://fotifixes.com/category/automotive...uperdream/).

I just sold the NSR125 for an FJ600 (new diesel bike project) and traded in the xl125 (As above) Smile

Anywhoo, thought I would say hi.

  HOW PROUD AM I?

LAYLA JANE COVER THE CLIMB
Layla's 22 now and she took advantage of a Groupon offer we'd bought for her with a local recording studio.  She's always wanted to sing professionally and I think the audio of her attempt at 'The Climb' by Miley Cyrus is quite a good one.  So much so that I had a go at putting together a few family clips and I've just chucked it all on youtube.
What's do you think then?  I'm biased of course, but I think she did brill'  Smile

Hello, just a few short lines for an introduction - my name is Steve I'm in my 50's physically, still in me teens mentally. I have

a Fazer fzs 600 (2001) nice metallic blue colour ( will try and post photo if its easy)I also have an xv 125 virago which I used

as a runaround practising for me test. Me and the bikes live in Chester - I like messing with things that I buy to make them a

bit different - nothing too extreme, the odd polished cover here and there, colour coordinated grips,so prepare yourselves

for some questions along the lines of "Help I took this off to polish it and I cant get it back on again" that sort of thing Smile

I'm not a mechanic by any means but I can do the odd thing - and frequently do! Anyway look forward to future chats oh

and Merry Christmas and God bless us one and all Smile cheers, Steve

ps can someone advise on how to put picture in intro - only been here two minutes and asking for help already :lol

Please can you all vote for my photo of Urbanswines Kitty 'Blue', it's entered into a competition. There's no details to enter, just a straight forward tick in a box, that's it ;-)

Thank you so much!

  Where to buy tyres?
Posted by: Jamieg285 - 14-12-12, 03:06 PM - Forum: General - Replies (10)

I've done my research and almost made a decision.  Hanging the balance are the PR3's or BT023's.  I can't quite make my mind up, and don't think I'll be disappointed with either.

I think the deciding factor will be the price, not specifically the cheapest option, but the best deal.  As such I'm looking for recommendations on the best places to buy.

Thanks for any input.

  Sorn?
Posted by: maddog04 - 14-12-12, 01:23 PM - Forum: General - Replies (38)

sorned the lads car the other week, eventually he goes and retaxes it and gets a pull as its showing as being sorned. Cops are ok when they see the tax in the window but asked him if he'd notified anyone (DVLA?) that it was not sorned anymore
now I was under the impression that once you taxed it again, it was blatant too all concered that it couldnt be on a sorn and Ive never had any comebacks when sorn/tetaxed the bike
anyone know different or was the cop getting mixed up?

  Gloves.....advice please
Posted by: maddog04 - 14-12-12, 12:56 PM - Forum: General - Replies (13)

not motorbike gloves :b
I suffer with cold in me hands, not Raynaulds but I still feel it bad. Wearing ex military arctic mitts at the mo but theyre too bulky. Need a good pr of warm gloves (waterproof too would be good) for walking the dog/hill walking/possibly cycling
want gloves not mitts and the outdoor shop recommended skiing gloves but they never had my size in. can anyone recommend a decent pr?
I don't mind the cost they just need to do the job and I know this is quite subjective as what you consider cold maybe freezing to me
cheers
