Whilst we all hate the fact that we cannot really ride our bikes at the moment, the current situation may actually help us.
With limited capacity on public transport when people start going back to work, more people may turn to bikes again for transport rather than get stuck in traffic jams. As a result, councils may actually invest in some more bike parking, people wont be so anti-bike and we may see some new sensible bikes being made again

My 2007 FZ1S is getting on now, 50K miles and it's had a few problems in the last 12 months which I have sorted, but I'm wondering if now is the time (well not right now obviously) to PX it while it still has a decent value.
Trouble is what do I like?
I like the Fazer but they don't make it any more :grumble
I tried the MT10 and hated the riding position and I wasn't keen on the engine although I'd probably get used to it.
I've looked at the Kwak Z1000SX and I'll give it a try but I doubt it will be as agile as the FZ1S
The only other bike is a BMW1000R but that's a lot of money :eek
I can't ride a sports bike these days, too much pain across the shoulders, so it has to be a street bike.
What bikes have you moved on from Fazers to?
Any recommendations to go and try?

| Cracked inner fairing on FZ1SA 2007 - anyone got one for sale? |

Hi Guys,
I've just discovered that the black plastic inner fairing on the right hand side of the fairing is cracked across the bit that has the mounting screw in.
It was probably overtightened by the garage that serviced it but it's too late to go back now.
Does anyone have one for sale or know where I can get one?
I tried Fleabay but they all seem to be in the US and the postage is horrendous.
I'll try to post a picture.

Box eye'd street fighter.
I just don't use the bike any more, the last time I rode it was to the MOT station last year.I was planning on riding it to Morocco and having an adventure, but Covid happened and it will just sit in the garden for another year.
So Time to sell it.I have had it a few years and just don't use it any more. The milage is low about 20-25000.Tyres are good, so are the brakes and the chain and sprockets are good.
It might need a tidy up and certainly a wash.A good run and it would be running even better with a fresh tank of fuel in it.
I'm asking £900. send me a message for pictures.
The bike is located near Worthing in Sussex.

Hi lads
I went to remove my crash bungs and took the left one off, put the bolts back thru the engine mount and realised I needed either shorter bolts or thick spacers/washers to get the nut to butt up against something, due to threads not going far enough up bolts
Can anyone spec me new bolts to order or spacers ?
Just need length and width
Cheers
I’d have measured them but silly me lost my tape measure :rolleyes

| Forks Leaking |

I noticed today that one of the forks on my 05 Gen1 is leaking from the seal at the top of the leg. The bike has covered £32k miles. It would make sense to me to change the seals on both legs. Obviously change the oil. Is there anything else I need to change/check at the same time?
Where is the best place to buy the new parts?
What is the best grade oil to buy and how much do I need?
Thanks
