  photo hosting sites
Posted by: phil on a fazer - 09-02-13, 05:13 PM - Forum: General - Replies (3)

Hi

As im a member of a few forums, i use photobucket as a photo hosting site. i upload my photos to photobucket then link them to the relivant threads.

Once you have a thread online, if you delete the photo from the hosting site will it disapear from the thread ? (or does the site cache a copy of it?)

What about if you move the photo to a different folder within the hosting site...will it dispaear on the thread as the address may now be different?

Of course having your photos backed up online is never a bad idea but i personally find photobucket a bit....well.....crap.  :rolleyes . its easy to upload, and really easy to link/copy addresses BUT....overall the site is really slow and i cant seem to find a quick and easy way to sort photos into different folders (you seem to have to do it 1 photo at a time...which takes FOREVER!)

Shall i fuck it off and start using a different site???

  help with new seat
Posted by: phil on a fazer - 09-02-13, 05:01 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (12)

Hi

ive had my FZS1000 refoamed and recovered. But when its on the bike it doesn't seem to quite fit, the main problem is the gap between the tank and the front of the seat. There also seems to be a gap on the pillion part, at the side.

i dont think this is right, especially the tank gap. can i be cheeky and ask you to have a look at your seats and see how it compares?

Thanks

  oops - foccing bolts.

Putting bits of the bike back together today - was going great guns until I got to the last piece (front fender)

Turns out I have 4 holes to fill but on 2 bolts remaining to do it with.

Need to gut the garage to make sure they arent lying around but I did have a box that I kept all the bolts together in

Makes me think that I might have used the bolts in the wrong place.

On the rear hugger, are these the right bolts to use ?

Additionally, when I was putting the exhaust back on, couldnt help noticing this little fella:

Namely the little black "thingumy" to the right of the heel plate.

What exactly is this - ive noticed that this is pretty loose and does it need to be "tight"

Thanks

  Car driving test
Posted by: sgavan - 09-02-13, 04:06 PM - Forum: General - Replies (5)

Hi I was just wondering if anyone could help me with some information, I have a full bike licence since 2002 and was thinking of getting my car licence . I just wanted to know what the procedure is, do I need to do another theory test and the hazrd perception test? I have done a theory test but not the hazard perception, which wasn't out at the time. I have looked around but can't seem to find out how to go from a bike to a car licence, theres lots about going from a car to bike. I just don't like riding in the cold anymore Smile.

Thanks

  2 piece leathers for sale.
Posted by: stevierst - 09-02-13, 11:27 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (2)

Selling a seweatherathers for a friend of mine giving up riding. I tried them on, but a bit snug for me.

Black 2 piece RK sport vented trousers and jacket. Only worn a handful of times, not yet broken in.

Zip together via short or full zip.
Full armour.
Jacket cold weather liner.
Velcro on knees for sliders.
Stretchy crotch area.

Label says medium, but I'd say jacket is UK 44", trousers 34" waist, regular leg.
There's a slight scuff on the shoulder about the size of a 50p piece which will blend in with polish .

Cost over £200 new, he's after £100. I can pass on his details if your interested.
