  a belated intro
Posted by: dock - 23-02-13, 11:41 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (12)

Hi all
Ive been on the forum for a while now but i realised i have not yet introduced myself ( how rude ). I got back into biking after having spent the last 17 years paragliding, but got a bit sick of waiting for the weather to be just right to fly so the biking bug has bit me once again.
I only ride for fun on weekends and evenings around the great roads of south and mid wales but am planning a trip to france this summer. I have a blue fzs foxeye 600 which i have had for allmost a year now, i love it but am thinking of upgrading to an fazer 1000 when funds permit as the wife has started riding pillion sometimes, i also have a dt 175 mx 1981 which is allmost on the road, i will post some photos in the next week or so when i get it looking nice.
Great forum, its nice to know i can get a bit of advise when its needed. (but the fazer just doesnt seem to go wrong anyway)
Cheers guys.

Owdoo all, hoping to become a "Born again biker" shortly. Made my mind up after much deliberation that a Fazer would
be the ideal tool for me to restart biking after a 9 year layoff. Going to look at a blue fox eye model tomorrow, fingers
crossed SWMBO won't kick off too much... Any pointers much appreciated  Smile

  NASCAR Daytona - accident
Posted by: baggy - 23-02-13, 10:27 PM - Forum: General - Replies (5)

Just watching Daytona NASCAR and coming up to the last corner there was a massive crash with one car in the air, hitting the fence and the engine and other debris ended up the spectator side. There's some spectators being treated at the moment.

Annoying noise from front wheel area.....
Posted by: Fuzzy - 23-02-13, 08:45 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (23)

Wonder if anybody's got any ideas as to what could be causing this?

It's a rattling noise  -  like the rattley clicky noise a bicycle makes when freewheeling, or when something like a ziptie is hitting the spokes on a bicycle wheel (am I making sense?). Not very loud but noticeable. Seems to be coming from the right hand side of the front wheel or rhs fork.

I notice it the most when I am slowing down to a stop with the clutch pulled in. The noise stops below a certain speed, probably about 5mph. Possibly there all the time and just that I can't hear it over engine & wind noise.

Had a look at the mudguard & fenda extenda, no rubbing that I can see. Brake calipers have just been cleaned and everything in order there. Michelin PR3 fitted (have been for 2 or 3k now). Not sure where to look now.... maybe inside the rhs fork? Can seal retaining clips vibrate?

It's a foccing annoying noise so would be grateful for any suggestions!

  Motorcycle Live

Just got home from the wobbly box show at the NEC, bit of a spur of the moment thing.

Motorcycle live cost I think £16 in advance or £19 on the door with a charge of £9 to park (Car) reduced to £7 with a rebate inside the show do to complaints.

Motorcycle Live said parking charge was down to NEC and nothing they could do about it.

Caravan and Camping show Tickets cost us £10 (kids free) on the door with FREE PARKING.

So who is bullshitting who here????
