LED winkers that are also DRL's
Posted by: phil on a fazer - 03-04-13, 08:23 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

Has any one seen or used these before?

http://digitek-moto.com/products-page/di...t-signals/

there basically LED winkers that are Daytime riding lights when not be used as indicators. The rear ones when not be used as indicators are brake lights and tail lights. I think this is a smart idea, extra lights is hardly a negative thing.

Light Scratches (how to polish out)
Posted by: kbkeith - 03-04-13, 06:30 PM - Forum: General - Replies (11)

Rather annoyed at moment and looking for some advice.
My Fazer FZS 600 2003

used the bike for work yesterday as car in getting some work done.

used my tank bag (which has magnets etc to fix it to petrol tank)

Went to use bike today and noticed light scratches on tank, down to white (tank is red). Looked at tank bag and underneath where the magnets are under the leather of the bag are tiny bits of metal, which must have been picked up at work in the changing room floor.

Which I find unusual as I work in a hotel, not a metal factory etc.

Anyhow, Did not notice them yesterday as dark when I got home.

What is best to polish them out with ? just t-cut ? or polish?

you can 'just' feel the scratch with your finger nail.

Really really has annoyed me. Never thought for one minute (till now) to check the bottom of tank bag before fixing it onto the bike.

  Tyre pressure indicator caps
Posted by: Bluecray - 03-04-13, 05:54 PM - Forum: General - Replies (9)

Are these safe to use? Because of the way they work if one fails could cause the tyre to deflate, is that correct???

I'm talking about screw on caps that show green for correct tyre pressure and red or yellow if tyre loses pressure.

  Head race bearings
Posted by: green_rider - 03-04-13, 01:59 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (6)

Having ridden around for a few months I decided that the head race bearings probably needed doing.  The bike didn't feel very stable in corners and had an odd clunk when braking or riding bumpy roads.  I took it in to get it done as I don't have the right tools or the patience to do it properly.  Turns out the bearings were in the top 3 worst bearings the mechanic has ever seen.  I thought it was just my riding skill!  By the time I reached the end of the road I could hardly believe the difference.  The bike felt like a completely different one, almost like it was on rails!  I'm genuinely shocked at how much of a difference it has made.

  New Old Bloke
Posted by: carpo - 03-04-13, 01:23 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (3)

Hi All, Recently gone back to two wheels, fed up of the price of fuel, rd tax etc. I picked up a Fazer 600, 03 mainly for commuting, I have had sports bikes in the past, but wanted something to get me around traffic and be more upright. I am pleased to say  "I love the Fazer", what a delight to ride.
I have noticed the chain guide has worn, anyone know where i can get one, tried 'Flea bay' but cant get any sence out of anyone!
I Will post some pics of my Fazer when i get chance, and by the way i love the abbreviated name for the owners club. :lol
