I'm a little confused.  Is there any reason why there isn't a stopper to limit the steering angle you can make on the bike ?


Why do they allow the steering to move to the point where the handle bars can damage the fuel tank ?


Is this to prevent damage to the handle bars in preference to the fuel tank ? (so you can use the bike after a fall ?)

After only riding my 2008 FZ1 a couple of times over the winter, I went to start it after having new tyres fitted and found the battery flat.  :'(

After bump starting it for the ride home I found the red ABS warning light had come on and stayed on until I switched the motor off at home.  :eek

Will be replacing the battery today and am wondering wether the ABS light came on as a result of a not fully charged battery or wether there actually is a fault with the ABS. 

Anyone got any idea please?

Hi - I am after both seats for an FZ1 2007 - does not matter what condition as I will get them re-covered - thanks if you have some for sale please email      jon@itass.info or pm me.

Last year i up graded to braided brakes lines on the front, changed the fluid & put new good pads in. But the brakes are still not great.
At the lever is a bit spongy and there is quite alot of notchy stickyness ( lever is not totally smooth through travel ).
So how likely would it be that the master cylinder would need a new seal kit, or could it be front seals?
Also, can the master cylinder be upgraded to one of any other bike?

NB: There will be places where your Fazer will be able to stretch it's legs. But also remember there will be riders of differing rider ability. It is not a race through the countryside. And slower riders will not be left behind. The run will officially end at Box Hill as I think most people will know their way home from there.
