By chance earlier, I lent on the rear part of the bike causing the front wheel to rise off the ground, when I took my weight off I heard quite a load knocking sound from the front end as the wheel met the ground. Rocking it back & forth on the centre stand the knocking sound is definitely there.
There is no play in head bearings & smooth from left to right, lifting the front end by the bottom of the forks to create the same rocking motion I can feel a mechanical knock same time as the knocking sound as the front wheel meets the ground. Off the centre stand holding the front brake pushing the forks up & down good smooth operation though the knocking sound is still there but a little less so it’s not the pads.
Forks had a KTEC upgrade last year along with head bearing greasing etc & have noticed nothing until today.
Could it be just some play in the fork internals causing this when they go from unloaded to loaded even with just the bikes weight on the centre stand?
Any ideas as it does not sound right?

Cannot do an exhaustive list so these are just what I'm looking at.
Apologies to the Bridgestone fans out there :-)

Just noticed recently that when i go over about 100 mph using all the revs through the gears my oil light comes on and stays on untill i drop the revs and speed again.
There is enough in it, what else could this be?
Also why does the oil sight glass have the weird black u shape on it?

shlapped the angel on the front with a diablo strada on the rear (don't want to wear the new angel out before the rome trip).
took her out for a 'bimble' this morning and found myself dragging my knee/peg around my fave roundabout :eek
it does make me wonder if we use our tyres to anywhere near their limit.....which is a good thing really, i like a safety margin.
anyway, it would seem that pirelli road tyres can be mixed and matched without too many problems!
