  Adjust when breaklights come on?
Posted by: xlewisbdx - 24-04-13, 01:28 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (15)

Does anyone know how to adjust how quickly the break lights come on?

When I press the back brake, in order for the light to come on I have to really press it. Anyone got any idea how to adjust it?

FOR SALE: fazer1000 gen 1 Diggers Seat
Posted by: tommyteeman - 23-04-13, 09:51 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

Modded by Diggers seats. Mods to the seat are slightly lower and wider with the front built up slightly to stop you sliding into the tank. Just needs the std seat catch attaching to fit. Much more comfortable than the std seat. More padding to pillion section too.

  Unexpected air
Posted by: reillypadraig - 23-04-13, 09:21 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (27)

Was just taking a nice spin today and going up a hill that I'v gone up manys a time, just this time i did it at speed, didn't think I was going that fast but I felt the front wheel go light but didn't realise what I had done until the back wheel hit the ground and the front was still up, just let off the trottle and the front came down but not overly hard, lucky I surpose, I didn't tense up as I didn't even know it was happening, just 2 seconds of airtime @ 90mph isn't something I would like to experience again,

This happen to many??

  stripped thread
Posted by: fazer6868 - 23-04-13, 09:00 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (4)

Hi all

Have stripped thread on gen 1 trying to fit givi rack.

This is the front grab handle mounting point,i.e. pillion grab handle off, front rack mounting bolt in same place and thread stripped on bike frame mounting hole/thread,i.e. bolt goes in but will not grab thread and tighten.

Is there a 'trick of the trade' for this type of thing?

Thanks

Gents, quick question for the knowledgeable, if i just stick an end can on, will it spoil the power or is it a must to re-jet?

  Any offers....
Posted by: Dan - 23-04-13, 08:10 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (5)

Been through the garage and found a few FZ1 bits that some of you might be interested.... they may also be appropriate for the FZ8 as well as other Yam's but I can't be certain.

All offers considered but please remember p&p will be extra (but not very costly).  Any offers then please reply here

First up some used Oberon Touring Footpegs in Silver/Titanium... obviously some wear but these still look great (much better that the original rubber ugly ones.  Brand new from OEM (Oberon) they are about £45 I believe... see here http://www.oberon-performance.com/acatal..._Pegs.html

Here they are on my old FZ1 (isn't she a black beauty!!) Smile

Next up are front and rear axle protection bobbins... again you can see them in my bike pic above... I always thought they looked pretty good and help keep any exhaust away from the ground if the worst happens...

Finally an Evotech Petrol filler camera mount.... it's brand new and I've never used it.  I have no idea how much this is new as I got it off a fellow Foccer a few years ago.
