Another (hopefully different) insurance question - declaring modifications
Posted by: Jamieg285 - 09-05-13, 01:43 PM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

Hi All.  Insurance is coming up for renewal in the next 3 weeks and I'm about to start looking round for quotes.  If seen from other posts that some companies will take note of any mods, without them affecting the premium.

What I'd like to know is which companies do this, and which don't (or should be avoided anyway)

TIA

  Haynes book of fiction anyone?
Posted by: Streetbudgie - 09-05-13, 01:18 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (4)

Got a Haynes manual (used) for a Fazer 2002 model, it covers the FZS600 and Thundercat models as well but it was bought in 2002 for the FZS600

They seem to be on E Bay new for just under £20 and a couple of second hand ones for £10 plus postage

This one is used but complete with no pages missing and only the odd oily fingerprint so how about £10 to collect or meet up and hand over?

  New OEM indicators

Got one front and one back for a Fazer 600 2002 model, brand new still in packaging purchased but never used.

Make me an offer but I'd rather deliver or meet up than post unless your happy to pay the postage cost (it would have to be a fiver at least?)

Think these fit any Foxeye or the previous model but best check.

Long time biker, pro photo monkey, 1st time Fazer owner  :thumbup  and I must say, I'm pretty happy with it.
Had the usual plastic bullet bikes over the years, but finally gave up with em thanks to me spine being made of chalk.  Plumped for a Tuono for the last 3 years and loved the power and 'funability' of the thing.  This year, I decided (well, my mrs did) we needed something with a bit more range and comfort for touring on, but with a bit of umph so I could still have a 'play' if I felt the need.  The Fazer thou was the obvious choice.  So far so good.  8)

  Rear caliper
Posted by: Stedman8 - 09-05-13, 12:04 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (8)

Hi all, I am having trouble with the rear brake caliper  pistons on my fazer once I free them and think its sorted they start binding again - it looks like a dismantle and thorough clean etc- but  just a quick question when looking at the caliper from behind the disc appears to sit well to the left of the slot in the caliper - it doesnt touch but is that the position its supposed to be in or should the disc sit in the centre of the slot, cheers Steve

Are FZS Inlet stubs (Carb to head) interchangeable - ie can a left hand outer be swapped for a left hand inner kind of thing?
