Once upon a time on Saturday 28[sup]th[/sup] April was the Annual Fazer Meet at the NMCM (BRUM).
As most of you know Bri h and I had a bit of a coming together at the roundabout just before arriving. Subsequently a few days later both our steeds were taken away for repair. Brian’s to 4[sup]th[/sup] Dimension and mine to BLD (Bikers Legal Defence). :'(
After 4 weeks of both Insurance companies and brokers ‘not’ communicating, they finally liaised and started the repairing process. :rolleyes
Bri h received his FZ1 back about 6 weeks later minus decals! He then tells me he had to go back 3 weeks later to have the decals put on…
Mine on the other hand is ‘still’ sat with BLD down in bloody Southampton! :thumbdown
They’ve had it over 10 weeks now and despite receiving weekly phone calls telling me repairs are still on going, but they’re not progressing! I emailed them the other week expressing my dissatisfaction. My claims handler phoned me soon after to say one of his directors had been on the phone concerned with my comments and that it was the 3[sup]rd[/sup] party insurers that were causing the delays. I thought ok and great, now thing will progress. :groan
I had a call a week later from their parts supervisor saying they couldn’t source a replacement set of aftermarket indicators. I had already told BLD several times from the beginning what make the indicators were, and other useful info knowing that if I didn’t tell them they may struggle. Obviously they never listened or took note! :uhuh
After 5min of searching the internet I emailed him back with a link for them that same evening. It’s not that difficult surely? :rolleyes
I then received a letter from BLD another week later saying there will be a ‘further’ delay as they’re having further problems sourcing more parts!
I emailed them back with disbelief! To which I got a response; the rear tail unit and rear light unit were due to arrive from ‘Japan’ around ‘28[sup]th[/sup] July’!!! That will be ‘3 Months’ they would have had my bike! On top of that they then need to reassemble before they deliver it… :grumble
Fuming is an understatement! Why could they not have ordered the parts and ironed out any foreseeable problems as soon as they knew my bike wasn’t going to be written off? (which was assessed by them only a few weeks after the accident.).
I made some parts enquiries myself and managed to source all new parts needed to fix my bike in the UK and I’d have my bike back on the road within 2 weeks. It’s not rocket science! And it wouldn’t cost no where near the £1500 BLD are charging! :deal
I’ve missed out on so many bike meets, rideouts and events already this year and now the whole of July! And there’s nothing more I can do about it… They’ve got me by the short and curlys… :moon

A large vets bill has led to the reluctant sale of my mint FZS600, got near to the full asking price and with the cash left over after paying the bill have ended up with an MZ Mastiff 660 supermoto thingy!
Fugly to look at but I quite like it, and should be great for the back roads of Devon.
Have had 3 x Fazers so far and in a perfect world would have one plus the Mastiff, who knows...maybe later
Anyhows just wanted to say thanks to all the people on this forum, whenever I have had a question it rec'd lots of helpful replies and hopefully I have also helped others a bit when able.
Pretty sure I'll be back again sometime in the future when finances allow
Now off to scare some of the yokels!

Hi all,
Not sure on the exact details, but my brother has won (access all areas I think) passes to the BSB next weekend. We're from NE England so long way for us to go - so, does anyone want them?
They are his, so this is no guarantee - more a feeler for interest before I dig deeper.

Just realised my front sprocket is almost round :o . The chain is slipping on almost any throttle at any speed! I have found a new front sprocket in my garage and will fit that to see me through.
Reason for my topic, where can I buy a new chain and rear sprocket for a good price. I think I will buy an OEM front sprocket to fit with the new rear sprocket and chain.
Thanks

I was tidying out the shed the other day and came across a set of fairing lowers in silver for the 2002-2003 Fazer 600 I had years back.. I bought these 2nd hand for my silver 2003 model but ended up trading in the bike before I got round to fitting them..
As I've got a Fazer thou now they're not really much use to me as Im needing the space for all the other bike bits I keep buying and never use!! :rolleyes ..
I thought of putting them on ebay but considered seeing if any of you guys on here would be interested first..
I havn't thought too much about price or such as yet so open to offers.
The side fairings are complete with no cracks but I think there's some tiny scratches and a very slight bit of wear on one panel where its been rubbing against something in the garage.. There's a fitting kit too but no instructions as I never actually tried to fit it on the bike.. I've a receipt from the original owner too showing the price etc - he paid £274 for them in 2003.. The receipt states T.C.P. Lower fairing FZS if that helps
havn't considered the best way to send them yet if anyone was interested either so open to suggestions for that too..
So, anyone interested. need more info, pics etc.. They would be cheap enough to respray too if you aint got a silver machine...
Im in the Scottish Borders too if that helps
post or PM me. add your email and I can reply direct.
Budgie
