| Numb backside and fingers. |

Ok, i've only had the bike for just under a week, so as you will probably understand, i'm riding it as much as possible, like you do when you get a fresh pair of wheels.
I really am over the moon with it, she handles brilliantly and runs well but i've come across a couple of problems that are ruining my riding pleasure.
The first one is that the seat isn't as comfy as i would have expected it to be, i like to be sat IN the bike, rather than ON it, my Ducati Monster had that kind of seating position, the bike seems to handle much better when sat in it.
Anyway, the problem is that after about 50-odd miles or so, my backside becomes rather uncomfortable and my wedding tackle is being pushed into the fuel tank, not sure if all Fazers have this problem?
The other one is that the fourth and fifth (little) fingers are getting numb after a similar number of miles as above.
There is a fairly high frequency vibe around the 6k mark, which is where i tend to cruise at, would this be causing the problems maybe?
I'm thinking of going up a tooth on the front sprocket, as that might move the vibe a touch, plus it would also give the engine a better cruising speed.
Any thoughts on this please?

Hello Folks,
Have recently acquired a vintage 1980's style leather jacket second hand. Very cool, looks the business.
But it's my first leathers, and so I could with some advice.
How do I got about cleaning it when it gets stinky?
It's real (black) leather on the outside, pretty thick and heavy.
On the inside it has a thin fabric lining which is not removable, sewn in, and there's fairly substantial padding in key areas. Only thing I can remove is padding from back.
Dry clean? Anti bacterial spray? Hand wash? Seems way too heavy for washing machine.
And once it's clean do I need to treat it with anything to restore the leather?
Any advice appreciated, as always.
Thanks, Andy

Sorry guys I didn't introduce myself...I am from The Isle of Man (You bikers are probably familiar with it haha). I have just bought a 2004 Fazer 600 , but it is slightly too high for me. I am not overly mechanical and will have the work advised done for me (Laziness is a terrible thing). I hope to gain some knowledgable advice from you guys . Thank you in advance

Hi everyone , Im totally new to this and I hope someone can help me out here thanks. I have just bought 2004 fazer 600 but being a short person (5ft 5in) I would like to lower the seat slightly , I'm fairly new to riding and this is my first big bike since passing my test. I have been advised to shave the seat or get a lowering spring. Can anyone please advise me and send me in the right direction. Thanks guys

So I always used to wear kevlar jeans on my 125, but now I'm on the 600 (and the kevlars aren't fitting anymore..) I'm after some proper riding pants, felt a little naked wearing plain jeans the past couple of rides.
So a question -
I'm probably going to get textiles, seems as they're waterproof (usually) and have removable thermal linings, is there something I should look out for safety wise? Seen a fair few cheap pairs on fleabay but I wonder what I'm giving up safety wise for a few quid.

2001, Y reg
10K (might be less, must check)
Pyramid hugger, HEL braided steel brake lines, double bubble screen, S/S downpipes, heated grips, Michelin Pilots with little wear. It's not immaculate but it's in excellent condition.
Not MOTd last year because my knees were banjaxed and I just covered it, left it on the optimate, and had a really long sulk.
