I saw the accident during the race, the amount of spray was hideous.

  Photo Problem
Posted by: nick crisp - 21-07-13, 05:56 PM - Forum: Your Suggestions and How you can help - Replies (10)

I can't seem to put up a post with photos all of a sudden. I put in text, then attachments and click Post. A bit of a wait, then I get a blank white screen. When I click Back, post has gone. Thought it was to do with info size of photos, but have managed before from same source. Have tried with less photos per post, still no joy. Tried test in Lab with one photo, worked OK. What's happening?

In addition to the above, some photos it will accept if posted singly, some it won't. Couldn't be to do with the amount of zoom used on the camera could it? (as I know there's a limit on info size in Additional Attachments). Hasn't affected it before tho.

Hi, can anyone tell me what the code means on K-Tech springs, i assume the 95N part of the code relates to the weight, if so what is that in pounds??

Jim.

  Brake Pads
Posted by: JoeRock - 21-07-13, 01:53 PM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

Know this has been done a bit before (well, a LOT before  :lol ) but I need a quick bit of advice on pads.
Front pads I'm pretty certain will be needing replacing, I can't see them very well on the bike but I reckon they're close, so will probably be replacing them with Carbone Lorraine as I've had them before, and they're bloody excellent.
The rear may not need doing as I don't tend to use it as much at all, but would still like to do it anyway really for peace of mind, but not sure what to put in there. The reason I like the CL pads up front is because they've got a fair bit of initial bite, followed by a lot of power. I don't mind having decent power at the rear, but I don't want bite - the main times I use the rear are to stabilise the bike a bit whilst leant over, and I really don't want to be locking the rear whilst leant right over if possible!
So, what type of pad should I be looking for, in order to get a decent amount of braking power, but without the initial bite?
Cheers fellas!

The more i strip down the bike the worse it gets! :'(
what i need so far is:-
battery - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-FZS-600...416a31be4f (not for £1000 though  :eek )
chain and sprockets - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-FZS600-...0978385558
new brake hoses all round
rear brake seals (hoping the pistons aren't shot)
rear brake pads
looks like the front calipers may need replacing as from what i can see all of the pistons are rusty
sprocket cover gasket
fork seals
oil and filter
coolant
air filter

god knows what else  :wall

  Rear Brake Lever

Going to assume that they are all the same on the FZS 600, from the first boxeyes until the foxeyes?

Realised yesterday that the reason mine is so annoying to use is because its slightly bent in, that combined with my feet usually sticking out a little means that I don't really get much of my foot on it!

FZS 600 Viiper end can for sale - better pics
Posted by: Bornagain again - 21-07-13, 12:35 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (6)

I have a Viper end can and link pipe going spare. Has removable DB killer and road legal sticker on it.

It has been on the bike but only for one ride, only marks are from the strap where it clamps to the peg but they are covered by the strap

Looking for £70, would prefer if it could be picked up , but can get it posted if required.
Wellingborough area.
