So,
As some of you know, I bought my fazer a few weeks ago from a nice fellow who had owned the bike for 6 years. I thought nothing more of it until I got a text from him today asking how I was getting on with it.
I replied that aside from just servicing the bike, it has been great, and that I plan to keep it for a good while, and couldn't see me getting rid anytime soon.
He then asked me, to let him know as soon as I decide to sell it, and he'll buy it back?!?
I guess he must regret the sale, even though he had an SV1000 on the drive when I took it, so think on before you sell your wee fazers guys, you will regret it :lol

After a heatwave that's lasted a month in some places in the UK, the roads are dryer and grippier than they've been for a long time at the moment. However plenty of people don't realise a lot of that grip comes from the enormous amount of rubber laid down onto the tarmac from vehicles, combined with the fact that any oil, diesel or other spills soak into the warm tarmac almost instantly so don't prove a problem.
As soon as your local roads get that first sprinkling of rain after being hot and dry for so long all the rubber, oil and crap is washed out of nooks and crannies and lifted to the surface. The first few rainy days after a long hot spell can turn roundabouts into ice rinks and make the roads slippery as hell, so don't just treat them as the 'normal' wet road last time you rode it.
Be safe out there guys!

Anyone explored this area on a bike? Thinking of heading that way tomorrow. Any places of interest, good biking roads etc I shouldn't miss?

I have the intermittent speedo thing going on , often showing 120+ that has got progressively worse over the last couple of weeks, and I'm after the most likely culprit, and what can i determine without replacing parts as part of faultfinding
Not getting any Rev-counter error codes, and with v low milage it's still got the original front tyre on it - so suspect no lugs or anything broken / misrouted (front tyre being changed in the next couple of weeks)
Seem to find advice if speedo completely dead, bit less for intermittent.
Any advice?
Cheers, Gary

Hey LoFos!
I've been asked to do a mini courier job, riding up to Uxbridge to pick up a banner thing for a friend in exchange for petrol money, and thought I might drop in to the Ace on the way. Anyone likely to be prowling? I'd be quite keen to meet some of the new LoFo crowd (like Punkstig, for instance).
Hope the weather improves though!!
