Legal advise needed guys (sorry not fazer related)
Posted by: dock - 24-07-13, 08:11 PM - Forum: General - Replies (25)

Hi Guys
Anybody know where i stand with this ...?
I sold an 8 year old touring caravan privatly and on the advert i stated that it was in good condition with no damp. A bloke turned up and checked it all over and offered me £200 less than the asking price to cover cost of a service and the deal was done. He rang me 2 days later and said a mate of his checked it with a damp meter and found damp (which was not visible), he now want £1300 from me to pay for repair or he will take me to small claims court. I sold it in total confidence all was ok. Whats my next move ?

  MV Agusta sponsorship

There has been talk at work lately (Oxford Products), of our company sponsoring an MV team. Don't know if it's WSB or what. Anybody heard anything? Wonder if this'll mean I'll get discount on their bikes? :lol

  HT Leads "Ticking"
Posted by: JoeRock - 24-07-13, 07:11 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

Is this normal? I've never had a bike with them before, but I can definitely hear them ticking, stuck my head next to the engine and could hear it, pulled one of them off the spark plug and could still hear it, then got my face a bit too close to it and got a bit of a spark - gave me a bit of a shock!  :lol

  Backfire on starting up.
Posted by: N A Chess - 24-07-13, 06:47 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (4)

Hi All

Pushed the start button this morning and got a backfire - which I wasn't expecting and which exercised the third eye a bit, I can tell you........  :eek

Started and ran fine -  but I have this nagging concern it may be a indication of something serious - and expensive.

Anyone else ever had this?

Ride safe.

  Cleaning and scratch removal
Posted by: Derpdiherp - 24-07-13, 03:32 PM - Forum: General - Replies (5)

Hey all, a few quick questions about keeping a bike in top nick.

Do you all have any recommended cleaining and polishing products? I've been using water and some washing up liquid for heavily oiled areas ( like left side of the swing arm etc ) and it's doing ok so far, but I reckon in winter it'll be a different story, so I could use a decent cleaning agent. Also with my bike being the fastest colour (black) it's needing a polish, I'm hoping it'll remove some of the tiny scratches in the paintwork.

One more question. My exhaust has a few scratches on it from me getting it into the back yard of my house, it's a major squeeze, I think it's stainless steel, any hints on shallow scratch removal?

Cheers  Smile
