Re: Cheap oil at Halfords - notoriusb.e.n - 24-07-13 I've always just used their own brand 10w40 brown bottle stuff - 7 different bikes no problems with it thus far. Used £5 classic car oil in my Boxer though cos that tractor engine will run forever on pretty much any oil. But then this is another one of those subjects that you could write 20 page essays on and still not have a "true" answer at the end of it. Just follow the owners manual and you can't go too far wrong.
