  Help me choose new gloves
Posted by: fazersharp - 23-08-13, 10:02 PM - Forum: General - Replies (35)

Ok had a search and cannot find anything on here but im in the market for some new summer gloves- no need for any waterproof. I have been looking into  Dainese full-metal gloves, alpinestars gp, and Knox handroid. Just been googling and stuff so far and I know my final decision will come from a real life fit test for each candidate. My hands are slim with long (ish ) fingers but not small hands. Any help and advice would be appreciated especially any crash tests.Willing to spend £150-£250 Cheers all

Anyone going?

I'll be there Sunday and Monday as part of the medical team providing First Aid for the crowd. Hopefully we won't be too busy so I can watch some racing as well.

We have two sites (and a trade stand for LIVES, the charity we volunteer with), one opposite the paddocks (I'll be there Sunday morning & Monday afternoon) and the other by the trade stands at the bottom of the Mountain (Sunday afternoon and Monday morning).

Hopefully won't have to meet any of you professionally, but feel free to pop in and say hi (I'll be the tall skinny one with the pony tail).

  driveshaft bearing????????
Posted by: spectraman101 - 23-08-13, 06:39 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (4)

Hi guys. I was wondering if you could help me with a problem i discovered on my 02 600. I recently got the bike so here's where i am with it so far. I went to view it before the cash was handed over, i noticed a lot of play in the chain and the sprockets looked a bit worn. I normally like to change the chain and sprocket set up when ever i get another bike so i thought, no problem, i can order the new stuff when i get home.So cash was exchanged and off i went. The chain was making a bit of noise on the way home so i thought nothing of it at the time. I got the new stuff after waiting a week for the delivery. All went well with the installation etc so i took her out for a test run. THE DAM NOISE WAS STILL THERE AARRRGHHH!!!!  So I jacked her back up again, put it in gear so i could have a listen. But i notice the chain was hopping around between the sprockets. So stripped it back down, even to the point of removing the front sprocket. I started her back up and that was when i noticed the noise was coming from the gearbox. Its almost sounds as if the gearbox has a drag spot and its not flowing freely... Any suggestions guys? my old girl is starting to look a little tired at the front of the engine, I am planning to re paint the front of the engine (while i have the exhaust off for exup surgery) for protection more than looks as you cant see that area too well.
where will I get the correct paint colour and type??
is there a car paint equivalent??
