  PC3 or 5?
Posted by: Strifae - 25-08-13, 04:32 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (6)

Does anyone know why the power commander 3 is suitable for the 06 - 08 bikes and 5 for 09 onwards? I have a 08

Surely the FZ1 is the same 06-13? Would a PC5 fit my bike anyway?

  For Sale - Honda CB1300s
Posted by: dannymassive - 25-08-13, 02:04 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (6)

Up for sale is my 2006 Honda CB1300s Muscle bike / Sports Tourer. The bike is a 2006 '06 plate model presented in Metallic Black and is in excellent condition. It has 13,900 Miles on the clock with an MOT until June 2014 and Tax until August 2014. Service book with stamps in the right places as you would expect.

It has ABS as a safty feature and has been fitted with some extras to enhance the machine. These include :
Body coloured Belly Pan,
Body coloured Undertray,
Renthal bars,
R&G crash bungs,
Double Bubble screen,
Chrome Radiator guard and a
Scorpion Exhaust can - the original exhaust is also included if wanted.

The bike rides faultlessly and being black it is different to all the red and white ones that are available.

Only selling to fund a classic bike. Bike is located in South Devon and any inspection is welcome. Just to add, I may also be interested in taking a part-ex against it - i.e an early Fazer or something along those lines.

PM me for more info or contact me on 07442 026915

£3650

Am I on to something here??
Posted by: DILLIGAFF - 25-08-13, 11:22 AM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

Watching the GP on telly this morning and I was intrigued by the new fad of sticking out one leg in the bends.
Presumably to act as an air brake?

Well, why not build into the fairing some spoilers/air brakes linked to the front brake lever?

They could be a kind of forward opening flap all down the trailing edge of the fairing which hopefully would trap air and have the added advantage of extra engine cooling?

Anyhoo, if its not against the rules, you saw it here first so no nicking my brilliant design and claiming it for your own. :evil

  Broken fuel tap
Posted by: Craiginuk - 25-08-13, 08:29 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

Got the bank of carbs off last night ready to clean. When I took the fuel pipe off the bottom of the tank, the barbed fitting that the pipe fits onto came out of the fuel tap. It looks like it is a press fit. I applied a small amount of heat with a paint stripper gun to try and soften the fuel pipe a bit but I think this caused the problem in that the 2 metals expanded differently. Am I ok just pushing it back in or should i replace the whole tap?
